About 16th Annual BEACHFRONT RUN

Hello Runners & Walkers!

We’re excited to invite you to City Impact's 16th Annual Beachfront Run on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the beautiful Ventura Promenade.

Enjoy a race course with stunning views of Ventura’s coastline while participating in one of our exciting race options: Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, or the Kids 1K Run. The event will also feature a variety of vendors, lively music, and a festive awards ceremony.

Each participant will receive a custom event shirt and a finisher’s medal. Please note that if you register after March 15th, 2026, we cannot guarantee your preferred shirt size.

Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each 10-year age category (10-19, 20-29, etc.), so everyone has a chance to shine!  Whether you’re racing or cheering, this is a perfect event for friends, family, and colleagues to come together and enjoy the day.

All proceeds from the event will benefit City Impact’s programs supporting at-promise youth and families. Your participation makes a difference, and we thank you for your support!

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Can I switch events/distances?

Yes you are able to change races until Thursday at midnight online or at packet pick-up on Friday or Saturday.

 

How to change events/distances:

1.    Sign in to your Runsignup account

2.    Go to your Profile

3.    View your events under Upcoming Events

4.    Click Manage Registration next to the registration that you are editing

5.    Click Transfer to Another Race menu located on the top OR left of the race page

6.    You will be shown the details and fees for transferring to another Race

7.    Select the appropriate Race and click Start Transfer

 

Can I register race morning?

Yes, you can register at the race although we strongly suggest you pre-register. Please arrive at least 40 minutes prior to the race start.  Free event shirts are only guaranteed for pre-registered runners.

 

What forms of payment are available race morning?

Cash, check or credit card are all accepted for race day registration.

 

Can I run with my Baby jogger / stroller?

Yes, running strollers are welcome on the course. We do ask that you start in the back and be respectful of others and due to some of the narrow sections on the course. 

 

Can I run with my dog?

No dogs are not allowed on the course. We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes, you may gift/transfer registration to someone else.  

How to transfer (Gift) your race to someone else:

When transferring as a Gift, you will not receive a refund of your original registration fee, though instead, your recipient is allowed to register free of charge.

1.    Log in to your Runsignup account

2.    Go to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer to Another Runner

3.    On the Transfer to Another page, you will be shown your Transfer information. Please confirm the information is correct and accurate

4.    Enter the new registrant information. The new registrant will receive an email with a unique link which they can use to claim the transfer

5.    Next complete the transfer process by clicking Registration Gift as your type of transfer (NOTE: Using this form to set up a gifted registration means they will have a guaranteed spot in the race, regardless if the event has been filled up already. However, they are require to register prior to event registration closing)

6.    Click Transfer as a Gift to complete

 

Can I get a refund?

Entry fees are non-transferable and are non-refundable.  NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you for understanding.

 

Can I walk the event?

Yes, you can run, walk, or skip!  Please note our course is a generous 4-hours. 

 

Can you mail my packet to me?

No, we do not mail packets out. However, our registration opens at 6AM the morning of our event.  We strongly suggest you pick up your packet beforehand.

 

Where and When is Packet Pick-Up?

Pre-Race Packet pick-up location:

·         Friday, JUNE 6, 2025 from 3:00PM –7:00PM

Pierpont Racquet Club, 500 Sanjon Rd., Ventura, CA 93001

·         RACE DAY - Saturday, JUNE 7, 2025 – registration opens at 6:00AM

Please arrive AT LEAST 40 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT START TIME. Expect lines on race morning pick up.

 

What are the courses?

Your start line will also be the finish line.  The course is flat with an incredible scenic view along Ventura's beautiful beach coastline where runners run half way and turnaround on same course to the finish line.  All races will begin on the north side of the Ventura Pier.  The half marathon runs along the oceanfront promenade and extends along the Pacific Coast Highway.  The 10K runs along the oceanfront promenade to Emma Wood Campground and back to finish line.  The 5K runs out and back along the oceanfront promenade back to finish line.

What happens if it rains?

The Beachfront Run will be held rain or shine.

 

Where can I find results?

Unofficial live results will be posted on TV screens on site. Online results will be posted at https://runsignup.com/Race/CA/Ventura/CIBeachfrontRun shortly after the race (we plan to post them live but there are sometimes connectivity issues in which case they will be online shortly after the event finishes.)
