Come run the best Cross Country races in Upstate NY for Open and Master’s runners. Individual and Club members compete for individual age group prizes and team awards. Members of Upstate NY Clubs compete for Series points, awards, and bragging rights. Championship Day is Sunday, November 15th.
These races are for the most experienced runners as well as beginners to the sport of Cross Country running. It’s fun for all and anyone may participate. The PGXC series is now in its 36th year with five races hosted by local clubs in locations throughout the Western NY.
PGXC Series Awards: Overall winners M/W - $100 Wegman's gift card, Age Group winners in 10 year increments - $50 Wegman's gift card, Top 10 in every age group - Wagner Vineyards Riesling, Top 3 teams in each age group will receive awards
Registration: All runners are strongly encouraged to pre-register online.

Yes, there are awards but they come without boxes, ribbons and bows: DRAFT
– For each race there will be Age Group awards 3 deep in all age group categories
– For each race: overall winners receive a TBD, top 3 in each age group enjoy gourmet snacks and there are TBD for team winners; as is the tradition.
– For series awards: top 10 in each age group receives TBD, age group winners receive a special award and series team winners…more refreshing beverages and bragging rights of course.

Registration, bib pickup, and the start/finish area will all take place at the Shelter at Center Park
Footwear Recommendation: Spikes! This beautiful 8k course will be run on fields, grass and soft trails.
Parking Info: Parking is right at the shelter

FAQ
How are the Niagara Championships scored?
USATF Niagara Clubs will automatically compete with teams of Open M/W on place and Masters M/W on age-grade. No team declarations are needed.
Can I run only one race even though it's a Series?
Yes, absolutely! It's the best way to join in the fun and see what Cross Country is all about.
What if I age up during the Series?
Your personal age group for the series will be determined with the first race you run. If you age up during the series you can be included in the older team competition, but your personal age group will remain the same for the entire series.
Do I have to run all the races if I sign up for the Series?
Nope. You can pick the ones you want. If you do signup for the Series you will receive a long sleeve tri-blend running shirt. And individual series scoring is your best 4 out of 5 races, so it allows for missing one and still being in the running for some great series awards if you run on championship day!
Do I have to be on a team to participate?
No need to be with a team to run in the race. We have several runners that prefer to go solo. Cross Country is unique as it provides the opportunity to compete as a team as well as individually. If you are with a club such as Auburn Pulsars, Bergen Elite, Checkers, FLRC, GBTC, GVH, Roadkill or STC your club's leaders will ensure teams are set up before race day.
I don't see my club listed. Can more clubs join the series?
Yes, we welcome new clubs to the series! We have even had several Club Teams from the upstate colleges join in to relive those high school XC glory days! Please contract the race administrator at pgxcseries@gmail.com to request a new club selection and to set up teams.
