We are an all-volunteer, grassroots organization that founded the Women’s 5K Classic back in 1993. Our mission is two-fold: To promote fitness among women; To support women with Breast & Gynecologic (cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal & vulvar) Cancers and their families and to contribute funding for related programs and research in the Lehigh Valley.

Download the Second Wind Timing app using the links above.

Once the app is installed, select the "Women's 5K Classic" icon and provide permission to receive notifications.

Then, simply search for your favorite athlete and click on the plus arrow to follow them on race day!  No contact information required at all!

Important Note:

Athletes will only appear in the tracking app after they’ve been assigned a bib number.

If you’re not seeing someone you’re trying to follow, it likely means they haven’t received their bib yet—or the app hasn’t updated with their assignment. As bibs are assigned and synced, tracking will automatically update.

We recommend checking back closer to race day if you’re not seeing someone listed just yet.

Run, Walk & Pink Ribbon Loop start: 10am simultaneously

Run Course Details and Map: The first 1.3 miles will be on the road with very few turns. After your initial climb, your hard work will pay off and the balance of the run will be gently rolling hills and flat to the finish. The entire course will be on paved or hard packed surfaces.  If you start the race in the group corresponding to your race pace, your run will be much more enjoyable. If you plan on running some, but not all of the race, register for the 5K run instead of the Competitive Walk.

Walk Course Details and Map: The 2.9 mile walk will start with a gradual climb as you head toward the Covered Bridge. You will be challenged with a few rolling hills but your efforts will be rewarded with a slight downhill towards the end of the course so you can finish with a smile. Most of the course will be on hard packed cinder surface

Back again this year, The PINK RIBBON LOOP: This loop covers 1/2 the distance (approximately 1.5 miles) and offers our participants the option to stroll, race, walk, run, (crawl!) and STILL support the Women’s 5K Classic and be right in the middle of all the fun! This provides a shorter distance for those in-treatment or are looking for a shorter event.  This is a fun run/walk. Participants may be as competitive as they wish but will not be eligible for awards. 

Since almost 90% of the course is on cinder path, we do not feel the course is safe for wheelchairs or baby strollers.
