Aberdeen Proving Ground Run To Honor 5K Run/Walk

Aberdeen Proving Ground Survivor Outreach, invites you to join us as we Honor the Surviving Family Members of our Fallen Service Members with our 7th annual Run to Honor 5K Run/Walk

In 2026, we are offering both Live and Virtual opportunities for participation. We hope you can join us on post or wherever you may be! The LIVE 5K event will begin at 9:00 am. 

This race is being professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, LLC

Please note that the start time for this event will be 900 am 0900 hours

ENTRY FEE

$40, includes chip timing (or Race Joy for virtual 5K), hoody, and medal.

Registration is open to the first 500 live or virtual participants. 

There are no refunds of entry given or transfers of entry permitted for this event.

ARRIVAL ON APG

Please view the VISITOR INFORMATION GUIDE (Visitors & Deliveries section) prior to race day; be sure to allow enough time to arrive on base with your ID and vehicle registration to be granted a visitor's pass. Speed Limits on APG are strictly enforced. 

RUN YOUR RACE

The APG Run to Honor 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday April 11, 2026 on Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Virtual runners! Friday, April 10th through Sunday, April 12th (11:59PM ET) is the time frame for results submission

VIEW RESULTS - In-Person Runners 

Race results will be posted here: RunSignUp.com results page. During registration you may Opt-In to receive a text message with your personal results. 

SUBMIT RESULTS - Virtual Runners

Participants will be able to submit their results through text or email (if opted in) or through the runsignup.com results page from April 10th through April 12th (11:59 Eastern Time). You must run your 5K (3.1 mile) race during this time period to be listed in the official Virtual Results. If you have questions about submitting results don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@bluecheetahtiming.com

SHARE YOUR RACE PHOTOS

Participants will be able to share race photos either during the result reporting process or through the runsignup.com photo page. You can also tag us on social media: #APGruntohonor

GIFT REGISTRATIONS

Gift registrations are available for purchase during the registration process. All Gift Registrations will be made available to our Gold Star Family Members so they can participate at no charge.

Each participant will receive:

Pre-Race Packet Pickup will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Ruggles Golf Course (does not require entering APG)

Race packets will be mailed out to all virtual runners.

Race Day Pickup will take place starting at 8:00 am.

The race will be run on an out-and back course starting near the intersection of Aerospace Road and Founders Street.  Participants will follow the route out to the Legacy Forest with the race turnaround at the Monument.

Parking for the race will be available in the lot adjacent to the race Start/Finish. Parking will be accesible from the Bayonet Road entrance.
