Event Overview:

Join us for the 7th AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K presented by LiveTrends Design Group, on July 4th in Downtown Clermont, Florida! Whether you're running 🏃‍♂️ or walking 🚶‍♀️, the course offers a great way to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends.  Kick off your Independence Day with a healthy start 💪. The 2026 race returns to its roots, starting at Clermont City Hall, the site of the first-ever Freedom 5K in 2020. Check out the new course below—less trail, more fun! 🎉 Can't make it in person? No worries! You can still participate virtually and receive all the awesome race swag 🎽!

Location: Downtown Clermont, Florida (Start by City Hall and Finish at Suncreek Brewery)
Start Time: 7:30 AM ⏰

Important Notes:

All participants must be registered ✅. Anyone running without a bib may be subject to a misdemeanor charge and risk disqualifying the race ❌.
If you're pacing someone (a child, spouse, or friend), you must register as well.

 

Packet Pick-up:

Location: Dash Sports, 741 W Montrose St, Clermont, FL 34711
July 2nd: 2 PM - 6 PM 🕑
July 3rd: 2 PM - 6 PM 🕑

Race day: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM 🕕 on the lawn by City Hall!
You can pick up race bibs for others as long as you have their QR code and correct name spelling. Packets not picked up by race morning will not be held or shipped out.


Race Day Registration: Available online until 6:55 AM (if the race has not sold out). No on-site paper registration 🚫.

Group Pricing:

Team Discount: Teams of 4 or more receive $5 off per participant 💵.
First 3 registrants pay full price. After the team reaches 4 members, the first 3 will receive a $5 refund, and all subsequent registrations will reflect the discount.
Discount may not be combined with other offers (e.g., race bundles).

Virtual Packet Pick-up:

Virtual packets will be shipped within two weeks after the race (includes paper or digital bib). Note: We cannot ship outside the US 🌎.

Strollers and Dogs:

Strollers: Please line up at the back of the pack 🚶‍♀️.
Dogs: Dogs are NOT allowed on the course 🐕. If you have a service dog, please contact the race director in advance. All runners with approved service dogs must start the race at the back of the pack  and must be leashed at all times 🐾. Cannot run with a retractable leash. 
 
Race Donations: Donations will benefit the Code 4 Initiative, a 501c3 nonprofit that helps Florida law enforcement families facing financial hardship due to catastrophic injury or death. This is the same charity that benefits from the Honoring the Fallen 5K organized by the Clermont Police Department 👮‍♂️.

 
Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony will take place around 8:45 AM 🏆. Categories include:

Top 3 Male and Female Overall 🏅
Top Male and Female Masters (40+) 🏅
Top Male and Female Grand Masters (50+) 🏅
Top 3 Male and Female in 5-year age groups (9 & under to 75+)
Awards must be picked up during the ceremony and will not be held post-race.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is included in the registration fee? Race bib with timing chip for live participants and a digital bib for virtuals,  custom gender specific running  tank, finisher's medal, post race snack and beverage. 

2. Is the event chip timed? Yes!! All live participants will receive a bib with a timing chip. Times will be based on chip not gun time. Result will be posted on Run Signup!

3. Will there be age group awards? The amazing awards provided by Live Trends Design Group will begin at 8:45am or sooner. Categories are top 3 Male and Female overall, Male and  Female Masters (40+),  Male and Female Grand Masters (50+) and top 3 Male and Female in 5 year age groups, starting with 9 and under up to 75 and over.  You may log back in to this page and click on the results tab or look for the QR code on your bib.  Awards must be picked up during our ceremony and will not be help post race.

4. Will there be water on the course? Yes. We will have two aid stations.

5. Are there deferrals, transfers or refunds allowed?

Bib Transfers
Illegally transferring your bib to another person is strictly prohibited. Violators will be banned from future races, and the unauthorized participant will be removed from the event.

Credit and Transfer Options

100% Race Credit: Available up to 40 days before the event date. Use this credit for another FloDash race.
50% Race Credit: Available up to 20 days before the event date. Use this credit for another FloDash race.
Switch to Virtual: Allowed up to 7 days before the event date.
Entry Transfer: Permitted up to 5 days before the event date. To transfer your entry to another participant for the same event, the new registrant must accept and pay the current registration fee. Once completed, you will receive a refund for your original race fee minus a $3 transfer fee.
Post-Race Policy
No post-race modifications, virtual switches, transfers, or refunds will be permitted.

Cancellations
If the event is canceled, we will make every effort to reschedule or offer a full virtual option.

Final Note
No exceptions and no refunds will be provided outside of the outlined policies.

6. Are there dogs and or strollers allowed? If you are running with a stroller please line up at the end of the pack. For safety reasons dogs are not allowed on the course. If you have a service dog you must contact the race directors ahead of time. Participants WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to run or walk with a dog that has not been cleared as a service dog. 

7. Do we accept donations? Yes!! All donations made will go to a local non profit. Please click on the donate button for more information.

8. Is there race day registration? Only if the race is not sold out. It has sold out the last 3 years.

9. What is there to do after the race for my family?  Please visit Downtown Clermont's page to find out more about the area and what to do post race. Downtown Clermont will be celebration independence day with Fireworks in the evening. 

10. When is packet pickup and can I pick up a packet for a friend?  July 2nd  & July 3rd  from 2 PM - 6 PM at Dash Sports (741 W Montrose St Clermont FL 34711) and race day 6:00AM-7:00 AM. You may pick up race bibs for a friend but you must have their QR code and correct spelling of their name. This will avoid all spelling errors and the possibility of you picking up the wrong packet!! PACKETS NOT PICKED UP BY RACE MORNING WILL NOT BE HELD. VIRTUAL PACKETS WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE SHIPPED AFTER THE RACE.

PICKUP YOUR PACKET ON WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY AND YOUR BIB # WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED IN OUR GIVEAWAY!!

11. Anything else I need to know about the race?  YES. We send a detailed email a couple of days before the race with instructions. PLEASE READ ALL THE EMAILS SENT TO YOU before coming to packet pickup and the race. HAVE FUN!! 

12. I cannot make the race and I missed the deadline to transfer to virtual, what now? You can still pick up your race shirt or have a friend grab it for you. Medals are only given out on race day or set aside for those who switched to virtual before the deadline to ensure we have enough for all finishers. Thanks for understanding!

13. Can I update my shirt size, join a team, change my address after I registered? Yes. Please log back into your Run Signup profile, find the event name, and then find the option to manage your registration. From there, you can manage your giveaway and anything else that is enabled in your registration.

Pacings Rules and Bandits!

Pacing & Bandit Policy for Our Events  

To keep our races safe and fair, we have rules for pacing and unregistered participants. Here’s what you need to know:

  • No Unregistered Pacers: If you’re a registered runner being paced by someone who hasn’t paid to participate, you will be disqualified, and the unregistered pacer will be asked to leave the course. They may also receive an invoice for their participation.

  • Guides for Athletes with Disabilities: We’re committed to making our races accessible. If you’re pacing or guiding an athlete with a disability, please reach out to us in advance. We’ll work with you to approve guides on a case-by-case basis.

  • Everyone on Course Needs a Bib & Waiver: For safety and accountability, all participants (whether pacing or racing) must have an assigned bib and signed waiver—NO EXCEPTIONS! If you’d like to pace a friend, spouse, or child, you must register and pay to join them. If a non-paid runner has a medical emergency, we have no way of identifying them or notifying emergency contacts, which creates serious liability risks. JUST DON'T DO IT!
  • Race Bandits Policy: Anyone running part or all of the course without a registration and bib is considered a "race bandit." We know some people think, “I don’t need a shirt or medal, so why pay?” The registration fee covers much more than these items—it funds the entire race experience, from course marking and volunteer coordination to hiring medics, announcers, and police. If you are caught, you will be banned from future FloDash Events races and social meetups.

  • No Unauthorized Pacers on Vehicles: Any pacers using scooters, bikes, or motorbikes must receive clearance from us before race day. This is for the safety of all participants and to ensure we know who is on the course at all times. Unauthorized vehicles will be asked to leave the course.

VIRTUAL PACKETS:

Virtual results can be uploaded to Run Signup after completing the distance, but not required. Virtual runners/walkers may not show up to run the event live on February15th .

Downtown Clermont has several public parking lots marked with stars on the map below. Please give yourself plenty of time race morning to find your preferred parking and walk to the start. Please note the start is in front of City Hall (green dot) and the finish is at Suncreek Brewery (red dot), just one block away from each other.
