Sponsorship
In addition to all of our wonderful Beaufort Twilight Run participants each and every year, our event is made extra special thanks to the invaluable support of our generous sponsors. Over the years, the funds raised have contributed to various aspects - including athletics, technology support and educational supplies. Recently, we had a new vision to direct these funds towards our local community field trips and yearly Capstone Experiences. These experiences are designed around the “Big Ideas” encompassing Community, Culture and the World.
With this vision in mind, we offer our students the chance to embark on incredible adventures in our local community in addition to each year our second graders can explore the Barrier Islands, while fifth graders can venture to Washington D.C., and eighth graders can have a life-changing experience in Costa Rica. These trips are undoubtedly enriching, but they can be financially challenging for some of our families.
We firmly believe that every student should have the opportunity to partake in the incredible experiences. That is where our “Capstone Fund” comes in. It is aimed at assisting families who may need financial support to offset the cost in order to make these trips a reality. A sponsorship of $2,500 could send an eighth grader to Costa Rica, two fifth graders to Washington D.C or ten second graders to the Barrier Islands.
As a sponsor, you not only support Riverview Charter School, but also play a pivotal role in providing all Riverview students with the chance of a lifetime. Your generosity will make a lasting impact and create unforgettable memories for our students.

A huge Thank You to our 2025 BTR Sponsors! We couldn't have done it without you!

The Cause
The Beaufort Twilight Run supports Riverview Charter School (RCS). RCS is the first charter school in Beaufort, SC, and the only charter school sponsored by the Beaufort County School District. It is a public school and does not charge for admission nor have any admission requirements other than residing in Beaufort County. Riverview opened in 2009 and reached full capacity during the 2019-2020 school year serving just over 700 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Riverview Charter School’s mission is “to create a small, diverse learning community that actively engages students in meaningful and innovative learning experiences. Emphasizing “learning by doing,” family and community involvement, and engaged citizenship, Riverview is committed to nurturing the whole child and preparing each student for a global society.”
Over the last 15 years, the BTR has raised over $600,000 which helps minimize the deficit created by a lower funding formula for public charter schools than traditional public schools.
SO WHAT DOES THE MONEY WE RAISE FROM THE BTR GO TOWARDS EXACTLY?
At the end of each Grade Cycle, our students are invited to a Capstone Experience. These experiences build off of the “Big Ideas” and conceptual themes of Community, Culture and World. Students are offered the opportunity to travel to Barrier Island in 2nd grade, Washington D.C. in 5th grade and Costa Rica in 8th grade. This year, the funds raised from BTR will be applied to our Capstone Experiences, reducing the financial cost for families to allow all students the opportunity to participate in these once in a lifetime learning experiences.
