About Bluff Spasslauf
Join the traditional march to the Bluff Schuetzenverein grounds in the second annual Bluff 5K Spasslauf (Fun Run)! "March to the Bluff" - a point-to-point run from downtown La Grange to the top of Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites on the bluff before the kickoff of the Bluff SchuetzenFest.

9:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Bluff Spasslauf 5K Fun Run
Calling all runners! Join us for the second annual Bluff Spasslauf on the morning of Bluff SchuetzenFest. Prizes for 1st place Adult and Youth, Best German (SchuetzenFest) Costume, and beer stein holding.
11:00 AM: Grounds Open
11:15 AM - 11:45 AM: Opening Ceremony
Head to the Bluff for the raising of the Frisch Auf Banner, enjoy music by the LGHS German Band, announce the winners of the Fun Run, and Root Beer Toast to the Festivities!
11:00 AM - 4:30 PM: The Great Bluff Scavenger Hunt
Do you have what it takes to make it to the end? See all of the sites and partake in this self-guided Scavenger hunt for an exclusive prize at the last stop, plus entry into a prize drawing!

Bluff SchuetzenFest

Step back in time to the historic Bluff SchuetzenFest, where shooting kings reigned, beer taps flowed, and families forgot their worries for a day. Experience our annual festival honoring the legacy of brewmaster Heinrich Kreische at Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites.
The FREE Family Fest* (11:00 am to 5:00 pm) includes:

Awards and Prizes
Medals for 1st Place Male & Females in Adult, Youth (17 & Under), and Older Adults (45 & Over)
The Award Ceremony will occur at 11:15 am during the Opening Ceremony of Bluff SchuetzenFest. This event is free to the public.
Join in the festivities with the La Grange High School German Band, watch the Frisch Auf! Banner be raised, and enjoy a refreshing glass of root beer at the opening toast.
Texas History on Tap will begin at 1:00 pm after the Fun Run and ceremony. Runners are encouraged to explore the sites and enjoy the festivities throughout the day.
