REGISTRATION:
Special Boilermaker registration periods in 2025 for the 2026 Boilermaker have all been completed. Thank you to the over 3,730 folks who registered and took advantage of them!
Next up is another Priority Registration period which is scheduled to open at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2026 for a limited time. Anyone who registered for the 2025 Boilermaker is eligible to register for the 2026 event during this special registration period and will be receiving emails directly from the Boilermaker in the weeks leading up to January 19, 2026.
Upon completion of that Priority Registration period, registration will be opened up for everyone and will remain open until race caps are met.
The Boilermaker endeavors to communicate registration based news (i.e. specific registration periods, impending pricing changes, and race cap alerts in advance via email, social media and our local traditional media outlets. As always, please keep an eye on your emails (we only have the email address you previously registered with) and the Boilermaker Facebook and Instagram pages for updates!
RACE CAPS:
Race caps for the 15K race presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and for the 5K race presented by Utica National Insurance Group will be announced prior to the opening of the Priority Registration period beginning on January 19, 2026.
PRICING:
This is a tiered pricing event with limited capacities, so register early to save money and your spot(s).
GENERAL RULES:
- All Boilermaker events are held rain or shine.
- Walkers, animals, skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates, bicycles, and baby joggers/strollers are prohibited.
- There are no deferrals and no refunds available.
- Dropdowns from the 15K to the 5K are limited (500 available) and are on a first come, first served basis.
PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOL:
- The Boilermaker will follow local & federal public health guidelines in place come race day. As of today, there are no specific restrictions in place.
- Please stay tuned to our email and social media communications for any potential updates.
- By registering for this event, you agree to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event.
- Per the Boilermaker’s policies, there are no deferrals or refunds.
RACE SAFETY:
- The course is restricted to registered athletes and official race personnel.
- We strongly discourage the use of headphones in both ears for your safety as well as the safety of others.

Transportation
Shuttles
It's Race Day, Now What?
There is some parking near the start line in the area surrounding ECR International and near the finish line at the FX Matt Brewing Company, but space is limited to public streets. Luckily, Birnie Bus offers FREE shuttles for Boilermaker runners during the Boilermaker Road Race.
They will transport runners to the 15K Race presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield start line from 5:30 am to 7:00 a.m. Make sure you arrive early for the shuttles and don't plan on taking the last shuttle to the start. Pick up locations are:
- Near the Finish Line at the corner of Court Street and State Street.
- Near the rear of the Post Race Party area on Whitesboro Street.
Running in the 5K? No problem, there will be shuttle service to the Start Line of the Utica National 5K Race. There are also post race Birnie Bus Shuttles back to the start of 5K Race.
Shuttles will also be available to take the 15K runners from the Post Race Party on Whitesboro Street back to the start line until 1 p.m.
