Cardinals 5K

The 2026 Cardinals 5K returns to celebrate the career of Joe Torre! This year's 5K will offer both an In-Person and Virtual format, allowing Cardinals fans across the world the chance to run, jog or walk the race. All Participants will receive a high quality long sleeved t-shirt or sweatshirt and a Collectable Finisher Medallion featuring Cardinals Hall of Famer Joe Torre. In person participants will be chip timed in the race on April 18th, Virtual participants will have access to submit results. All participants will earn a digital Finisher's Certificate. In-Person participants will have the opportunity to walk a celebratory lap around Busch Stadium after completing their 5K.

The in-person event will be held on April 18th at 8:30 AM at Ballpark Village and Busch Stadium.  Pre-race activities and warm-ups will be held on the Busch II infield in Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village. The course will start and finish on Clark Street between Ballpark Village and Busch Stadium with the race route taking participants through the streets of downtown. Upon finishing the 5K, participants will have the opportunity to take a victory lap around the warning track inside Busch Stadium, and then return to the Together Credit Union Plaza at Ballpark Village for a post-race party. 

Registration starts at $40 per Adult registrant and children 13 & under can register for $35.  All participants will also receive:

Unfortunately due to the congestion along the 5k route and at Busch Stadium, NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED IN THE 5K OR ON THE FIELD
*Service Animals are permitted by special request. 

Strollers may be used during the 5k run/walk but are asked to start at the back of the pack, and are allowed into Busch Stadium for the celebratory lap. Children under 7 may ride in a stroller with a participating adult without registering.

IN-PERSON FAQ’s

When does the race start? 

The race will start at 8:30 am on Saturday, April 18, 2026 outside of Gate 4 on Clark St. 

Do I really get to go on the field at Busch Stadium?

Yes! The 5K finishes on Clark Street between Ballpark Village and Busch Stadium. From there, participants will have the opportunity to take a victory lap around the warning track inside Busch Stadium!

Can I pre-buy parking?

Ground level Parking is available to purchase at Ballpark Village through registration for $10.

Can I transfer my registration to another person or to the Virtual/Live Event?

Yes! Much like a baseball ticket, registration can be transferred to another person using the “Manage Registration” link in your confirmation email. Transfers need to be done online, and the recipient needs to sign a waiver.

Registrations may be transferred from the In-Person to the Virtual Event, or vice versa using the “Manage Registration” link in your confirmation email. There may be a cost difference, which will need to be paid at the time of transfer.. 

Can I run with a stroller?

You may run the race with a stroller.

Can I run with my dog?

We love dogs, but unfortunately can not accommodate them at the race.

What’s the course?

We’re excited to take you on a scenic tour of downtown St. Louis. A course map can be found on the registration page.  

What swag do I get and when?

All participants both In-Person and Virtual receive a custom Cardinals Long Sleeve T-Shirt or Sweatshirt and Finisher Medallion honoring Joe Torre.

In-Person participants may choose between shipping or packet pickup during registration. In person race packets will begin shipping on April 1.  

What if I move?

Email us at cardinals5k@brrm.com asap to ensure you receive your swag at the correct address. In person race packages begin shipping on April 5 so please make sure to update us prior to then.

Overall Winners and Age Group Award Winners earn a pair of Cardinals Tickets! The Overall Winners will be invited to throw out the first pitch at a future Cardinals Home Game.

During registration you will be asked how you would like your race packet delivered, and to select Shipping or a Packet Pick Up Option. Selecting a Packet Pickup location does not tie you to that location, and is only for inventory management. The schedule for Packet Pick Up can be found below.
*All Virtual race packets are shipped. The cost of shipping is included in your virtual registration. Virtual race packets will begin shipping in Early April, and take 2-3 weeks post registration to be fulfilled.

SHIPPING - $12.00
For $12 we will ship your race swag right to your doorstep. The deadline to ship In-Person race packets is April 9. If you select this option, your Race Packet will be shipped to you approximately one week prior to the race. You will also receive an email with your Race Packet tracking details.

*Choosing a PPU location during registration serves only to help track inventory. You may pick up at any of the pre-race PPU locations if your needs change.

VIRTUAL FAQ’s

Virtual Race? What’s that? 

Virtual races offer freedom to run/walk when you want and where you want. Once you’re done upload your results to share with others. Virtual runners and walkers receive the same apparel and medallion as in-person participants. 

How do I share my results? 

You can upload your results to the Cardinals 5K leaderboard using your First and Last Name, or E-mail address and Date of Birth.

Where do I run/walk this event?

You can run/walk on the route of your choosing.

Do I have to run?

Nope! All paces are welcome. Running, walking, skipping, jogging, etc. are all acceptable! Biking, scootering, driving and flying, while hilarious, do not qualify nor is encouraged.

When do I need to complete my Virtual race by?

There is no time limit to complete your race. However, race result submission does close on July 1! Submitting your completed race results is optional, but we encourage you to do so!

I don’t live in the United States, can I still participate?

Of course! Anyone is welcome to participate. However, anyone residing outside of the United States is required to pay for shipping costs of your well-deserved swag. If you do live outside the United States, you will be able to select and settle that during registration. 

What swag do I get and when?

All participants both In-Person and Virtual receive a custom Cardinals Long Sleeve Shirt or Sweatshirt, and Finisher Medallion honoring Joe Torre. Virtual race package shipping to the continental US is included in the cost. Race packets begin shipping in mid April and take 2-3 weeks to fulfill post registration.
