Cowboy Ramble Run & Rhythm

Saddle up for the Arts of the Pamlico's 1st Annual Cowboy 5K Ramble Run & Rhythm in Washington, NC to support preservation of the Historic Turnage Theatre — a western-themed fun run that blends fitness, community, and a touch of country charm. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just out for a good time, this event promises a lively atmosphere filled with cowboy spirit and a nod to the American singing Cowboy, Roy Rogers who visited the arts council's Historic Turnage Theatre with his horse Trigger.

Registration Fees:

- $35 individual 19 years and older
- $25 18 years and under
- $5 off for Arts of the Pamlico member (artsofthepamlico.org to join or donate)

Awards:

Medals for Top Overall Male and Top Overall Female, participation medals for each runner + Medals for costume contest for best cowboy/cowgirl outfit at the country music concert following the event at the Historic Turnage Theatre

Giveaway:

Cowboy bandanas provided to registrants plus free events and activities before and after the 5k

- April 11, 2026 10 AM - 2:00 at Historic Turnage Theatre / 3:30 PM - 5 PM at starting line at 307 W. Main Street, Washington NC

Participants Allowed

- well behaved dogs allowed in run, not able to accomodate them in theatre
- strollers and walkers
- no age restriction
- no refunds - rain or shine

Parking - free throughout downtown Washington, NC

- Registration & packet pick-up for 5k at race start area in front of Pitt Street Brewing Company On the Pamlico 307 S. Main Street, Washington, NC

5:00 PM

- 5K Run/Walk through downtown Washington and along the scenic Pamlico River boardwalk

6:30 PM — Historic Turnage Theatre

- Free live country music concert on stage

- Medals for Best Cowboy & Cowgirl Runners and Medals for Best Cowboy & Cowgirl Outfits

- Theatre ticket giveaways during the concert

- Complimentary bottled water
