About Crescent City Classic 10k
Since 1979, the Crescent City Classic 10k has been a New Orleans tradition. The race, which takes place every year on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, is produced locally by the Crescent City Classic Foundation, a not-for-profit 5013c entity. People of all physical abilities participate, including world-class runners, joggers, walkers, wheelchair athletes, kids in strollers, and even those with rolling beer coolers.
The events surrounding the Crescent City Classic make for a jam-packed Easter weekend. The fun includes a two-day Health & Fitness Expo, free and open to the public. Many runners sign up simply to attend the post-race party hosted by Michelob Ultra, complete with live music from local bands and world-famous New Orleans cuisine!
But there’s a serious side to the Classic as well. Every year, the “Run for It” Program sets out to raise $1 million to support local charity partners. No matter who crosses the finish line first, everyone wins!

Run For It Charity Program
The "Run For It" Program is the Official Charity Program of the Crescent City Classic. The goal of the "Run For It" Program is to raise $1 million annually and serve the Greater New Orleans area needs. Each year, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation selects local charities to support and partner with for the 10k race.
Official Charity Partners recruit and form teams of up to 100 charity runners/walkers, who commit to raising a minimum of $200 PER REGISTRANT for their charity by race day. Official Charity Runners receive various perks and incentives for joining the program, including a personal online fundraising page. All of the money raised will be donated directly to and benefit our selected charity partners. Raise $300 for your charity and receive a full refund of your registration fee.
WHY BE A RUN FOR IT CHARITY PARTICIPANT? Give back to NOLA by raising funds for one of our local charities. Choose your charity during registration. RUN FOR IT participants must raise a minimum of $200 PER REGISTRANT for their charity.

Current registration cost; $50
RACE DAY CHARITY CORRAL: There are many perks to being a charity runner, but one of the best is starting in front of the "pack". The start line is broken out into corrals of estimated finish times. The Charity Corral is an exception and starts right after the seeded runners. The charity corral will start at 8:05 am, in front of non-seeded runners who are still fast. To ensure they have a clear pathway, we are merging the charity corral to the other side of Poydras once you start.

FAST CHARITY RUNNERS: Charity runners who want a cleaner start and do not want to cross over to the left side of Poydras, can start in a different corral. Please see below for instructions:
- NON-SEEDED CORRALS You can start in a non-seeded corral with your Charity race bib. Charity race bibs are allowed to enter any of these corrals, so you do not need to update your corral to enter these corrals on race day.
- SEEDED CORRALS To update your corral to a seeded start corral, CLICK HERE for instructions. You will still receive a charity bib without a timing chip to access other charity perks on race day. Seeded Corrals require an under 55:00:00 finishing time and a URL link to results for a recent qualifying race.
RUN FOR IT PACKET PICK-UP INFO:
Charity participants will receive their shirts and race bibs from their charity representative at the Expo or predesignated pick up location of charity.
