Devils Chase 6.66 & Creepy Clown 3.33

Run like Hell in Salem, MA this October! 

666 Event Description: The Devils Chase 6.66 Mile Run, named to the Top Nine Costume Runs in the World, is the best and most unique event you will run in all year long. 98% of participants dress up in costume, majority Devil theme costumes. People from all over the world venture to Historic Salem and join us for one Hell of a Good time. The Devils Chase attracts more than 1000 Devils donning their favorite horns with pitchforks in hand for a scenic 6.66 mile race past a variety of Salem’s well-known landmarks including the Salem Common, Salem Witch Museum, a Real Haunted House, the Custom House, Salem’s Derby Wharf, the House of Seven Gables and more. The course provides two sections of in and outs allowing runners to pass their fellow Devils and admire all of the unique and entertaining costumes. You’ll know you’re nearing the end of the race when you begin running through an eerie spooky foggy finish.

333 Event Description: Break out your creepy clown outfits and join in the costume fun in Salem, MA for a unique 3.33 mile run through the historic streets of the Witch City.

Saturday, October 17th (No rain date)

8:00AM – Devils Chase & Creepy Clown 3.33 Miler 

The 666 and 333 share the same start and finish line, and both courses pass a variety of Salem’s well known landmarks including the Salem Common, the Custom House, Salem’s Derby Wharf, the House of Seven Gables, Winter Island and more.

Friday, October 16th, from 2-5PM at the B&S Fitness Facility (GPS: 90 Leavitt St. Salem, MA)
Race Day, Saturday, October 17th at race site from 6:30-8AM

Notch Beer Company will be pouring 3-4 kinds of beer ($9/beer), Mimosas ($9/mimosa) provided by Salem Wine Imports, an assortment of food and drink will be available post race including homemade pumpkin bread and more. We encourage you to visit Longboards Bar & Restaurant in downtown Salem post race to continue your celebrating! Show your bib to save 15% off your bib!

There is ample parking in and around the Willows (parking all down in the Willows casino/entertainment area), parking along Fort Avenue. Don't worry about the parking meters down the Willows as they won't be turned on before the start. There is no longer FREE parking at the Bentley Academy Charter School located at 25 Memorial Drive. Please refrain from parking directly in front of any houses on Fort Ave or in the neighborhood off Fort Ave. Your car could be towed. Please take notice of all parking signs. 

Hawthorne Hotel, The Hotel Salem and The Salem Waterfront Hotel are our three recommendations. Please be sure to book as soon as possible as rooms will fill up fast. We recommend booking at least 6-8 months in advance. 

The Devils Chase supports a variety of organizations including the Salem Children’s Charity, the Fellowship Christian Academy and the Salem Park & Recreation. 

Races are held rain or shine unless we determine that race conditions are dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend. If the race needs to be cancelled there will be no refunds, but we will do our best to establish a postponement date. That being said, if a postponement date cannot be reached with all involved parties, each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as t-shirts, insurance, and online administrative fees. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. 

We understand life happens and things may come up. We’ve implemented a FREE deferral and transfer policy through Oct 1st. Refunds/deferrals after Oct 1st (without insurance), will incur a $10 fee for administration purposes. In the case of event cancellation due to public safety, inclement weather or some other unforeseen power at be, the event will be rescheduled if possible.
