EmpowerHer 5K/2K

The EmpowerHer 5K/2K welcomes everyone, women, men, families, and teams. Come run, walk, or volunteer in support of women in our community.

Bring your friends, relatives, or coworkers and show your support together. Every step and every helping hand empowers women in our community.

Participants will receive a soft blend short sleeve shirt and celebration finish line!

Proceeds from this race will support initiatives of Crossroads UMC that help women both locally and across the globe. Such programs include building homes for single mothers in Guatemala, leading small groups for women at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, educating teens in Uganda, working with women at the local homeless shelter, and more.

Race is rain or shine.

Runners/walkers of the 2K will be supported on the race course for one hour. 2K will start and finish at Crossroads United Methodist Church. Course will take runners throughout the neighborhood paths and streets of Ashburn.

Water will be provided at the start and finish line. Please be sure to stay hydrated, and consider bringing your own water source.

Limited parking will be available at the gravel parking lot across from the church on Crossroads Dr.

Parking can be found at the nearby shopping center approximately a quarter mile from the Windmill Dr. start line.

Parking can also be found at the community center and ball field off of Windmill Dr.

NOTE: NO PARKING will be available in the church parking lot on race day. Thank you for being respectful to our neighbors by not parking in the residential parking spaces.

All in-person registered runners will receive:

- Commemorative soft-blend short-sleeve t-shirt 
- Start / Finish line managed with state of the art timing by Racine Multi-sport Timing
- Custom bib
- Choice of 5K or 2K fun run course
- Opportunity to lift up those special women in your life

Make it a family thing when you create a team. Encourage your family and friends to join you and make things more fun as you compete against each other and other teams!

- Teams can be made up of friends or family or BOTH!
- Teams can be made up of in - person or virtual participants (keep in mind virtual participants will not be eligible for awards) 
- Teams eligible for awards will include at least one male and one female and have at least (4) in person participants

NOTE: Awards will be given to the fastest team! An eligible team for awards will consist of at least four runners registered as being a part of the same team and have at least one male and one female runner all participating in the in person event and the same race distance.
