About F^3 Cap Sauers Trail Marathon & 10 Mile
Explore the Cap Sauers Holding Nature Preserve - the largest tract of undeveloped land in Cook County, IL. This race will cover every inch of maintained trail within the Nature Preserve. With over 1000 ft of elevation, this marathon is mountainous by Chicago standards!
The course uses the Sag Valley Trail system, covering the Yellow, Green, Blue & Tan trails. The whole course is wide horsetrail, allowing for 2-way traffic and encouragement from fellow participants.

PACKET PICK-UP
PACKET PICK-UP is on race day only.
It opens at 6:30 am. Everyone has a pre-assigned bib+packet. Find your packet, head to the trail & visualize yourself having a fantastic run!
Giveaways
Participants all receive a technical trucker hat, and marathon finishers get a finisher's shirt! All finishers receive a unique wooden medal.
All participants registered before April 1st receive a personalized bib. You can even pick your lucky number if it's still available!
Course Description & Map
The race distances are precisely measured. The Marathon is 26.2 miles, and the 10 Mile race is 10.0 miles long. The 10 Mile course map is here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/4099620145
The Marathon route starts with two circuits of the 10 Mile, and ends by going straight out & back to the aid station at Will-Cook Rd.
At each turnaround point there is aid, allowing for unprecedented aid coverage during a trail race... miles 3, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 18, 20, 23.
