1PM: A Unique Bike Race called the "Free for All"
The Farmland "Free For All" bike event has cyclists taking to the running course for 5 laps of fun competition (approximately 10 miles total), on any bike you choose. Fat bike, gravel bike, mountain bike, maybe even a unicycle; you’ll see it all. Awards for overall and age group winner. It's 5 laps for 2025 as we have the big hill for each lap :)
For the ambitious, we’ll have a combined run/bike as well. Test your running legs in the 5k and your bike (or vice versa) and give the "Free For All" everything you’ve got left. Farmland Combos will be measured by their 5k time added to their bike time.

Tell me more about the "Bike" part
The Farmland "Free For All" bike event, immediately following the run, has cyclists taking to the running course for 5 Laps of fun competition (approximately 15K or 9.3 miles total), on any bike you choose. Fat bikes, cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes, maybe even a unicycle - that’s why we call it a “free for all”. The 1.8ish mile route loops through the Farmland “village” for great spectator cheering from the running crowd.
The Free for All has few rules, however take note of the following:
- Bike helmets are mandatory.
- No bike trailers, child seats, etc. are permitted.
- If you approach a slower rider on the course, please announce you are approaching and pass on the left when safe to do so.
- Riders are responsible for insuring that a bicycle is in good repair.
Run/Bike Combo
For the ambitious, we’ll have a combined winner as well. Test your running legs in the 5k, then hop on your steed of choice and give the "Free For All" everything you’ve got left. The combined winners will get awards for their superhuman efforts, measured by their 5k time added to their bike time.
Bike/Run Details
This is not a duathlon – Your finish times will be combined for the two separate events.
