A fun Spring morning for the whole family with bounce houses, games, face painting, breakfast snacks, popcorn, food trucks, & more. This fundraiser is a day of fun to honor, remember, and support the strength, courage, love, and care of kids and families facing a cancer diagnosis.
Register on by April 10. Race day registrations are open from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. on April 11 at the event pavilion.
Event Shirt Not Guaranteed After March 19. Kids 2 and Under Are Free! (Shirt not included.)

Family Teams
Our pediatric cancer patients and their families can create a Patient Family Team Sponsorship at just $500 for 50 participants. This comes out to just $10 per participant and is offered to families who have experienced a pediatric cancer diagnosis and their guests only.

Does my child need to be registered?

All participants who want a race t-shirt will need to be registered, even children. Sizes range from Youth XS–Youth XL and Adult S–Adult 3XL.

Children 2 and under do not need to register. However, they will not get a free race shirt unless they are registered.

Is there handicapped parking?

Yes. Go to the Sailboat Cove parking lot, where you will be directed by Park Rangers and volunteers.

Yes, free fruit, snacks, and water are available thanks to our kind sponsors.

Food trucks are also present for lunch, snacks, and beverages to purchase.

Is this event closed to the public?

No, the park is open to the public during our event. Please share the path at all times.

What should I bring?

All participants are encouraged to wear their race shirts, and runners wear their bibs.

Walkers and runners can bring signs or other ways to show their support.

Team sponsors who have reserved areas on the lawn are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, pop-up tents, and other picnic supplies for their area on the lawn.

Weather can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to bring warm clothes, umbrellas/ponchos, or any other items of comfort. We encourage you to bring rain gear just in case we face some rain at the beautiful Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park. In addition, our picturesque venue can be quite windy, even on a sunny day. We suggest windbreakers and weather-appropriate attire. The event is "rain or shine."

Yes, please bring your well-behaved, friendly dog to this event. Please leave aggressive or anxious dogs at home. There are many people and other dogs at this event.

This is a service fee for processing your race application through RunSignUp.

What are the paths for 5K and walk?

Runners will run the 5K along the West side of the lake. Walkers will walk along the East side of the lake.

Packet Pickup Information


Packets must be picked up in person in advance on pick-up day or on race day. Packets include your race shirt, time-tracking bib (for runners), and freebies from our partners. We ask that one team representative pick up all packets for the entire team.

Virtual Option
Want to support Friends of Kids from afar? Sign up to be a virtual runner! A virtual race is a race in which you can run (or walk) from any location you choose. You can run or jog, and you can walk on the road, trail, treadmill, track, at the gym or even at another race! You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and record your results between April 11 and 12. Here’s how to submit your results:
- Once you have completed your race, self-report your virtual results by clicking HERE, selecting 2026 for the Year, choosing the Virtual 5K Run/Walk or Virtual 1 Mile Run/Walk Results Set, and then clicking on the Submit Virtual Results button.
All virtual participants will receive a race t-shirt and race bib at packet pickup.

What to Expect
Join us for a day to honor the strength, courage, love, and care that come from the personal and collective struggle of these special kids and families.

Registration includes access to bounce houses, lawn games, face painting, breakfast bites, popcorn, DJ music, photo booth, meet-and-greets from special guests like EMT & fire truck, princesses, heroes, and mascots, and your choice of 1MI walk, 5K timed run, or 10K timed run. One event t-shirt is included with each registration when registered before March 19.
When the deadline for guaranteed t-shirts has passed, we will fulfill orders on a first-come, first-served basis by registration date while supplies last.

A special team section for meeting on the grassy lawn. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic supplies.
ACTIVITIES
Enjoy a fun morning for the whole family with breakfast refreshments, popcorn, bounce houses, lawn games, archery, basketball, face painting, and more!
10K & 5K RACES
The races are timed, and prizes are given to the top 3 men and women winners in 5K and 10K, plus top 3 overall 13 & Under. New and experienced runners welcome.
5K runners take a 3.1-mile loop path along the west of Creve Coeur Lake. 10K runners will continue for a 6.2-mile loop.
1-MILE WALK
For this memorial & honor walk, bring signs and warm clothes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Sponsor teams are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic supplies for their team section on the grassy lawn.
Separate from runners, walkers take a 1-mile path along the east side of Creve Coeur Lake.

PARKING
Direct your GPS to Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park. At the main entrance, guests are directed to park in unpaved, overflow parking. Handicapped parking is available at the main entrance. Parking is also available just southeast of the park in a small lot, or further at Creve Coeur South Boat Ramp.
All participants are asked to meet at the event area, southeast of the pavilion and park bathroom, before the start of the event.
