About GWOT 100
The GWOT 100 is a national 100-mile challenge honoring those who served during the Global War on Terror. Inspired by the 15-year tradition of the Taji 100, this new chapter—led by Team Red, White & Blue—carries this event forward. This is first and foremost a virtual event - our goal is to get as many people as possible moving 100 miles in February.
GWOT 100 – National Virtual Challenge (Main Event)
Complete 100 miles during February in any way you choose: run, walk, ruck, cycle, swim, row, SkiErg, elliptical, stair climber, or Jacob’s Ladder. Go solo or with your community—what matters is showing up and honoring our nation’s heroes.
This event is for everyone – not just GWOT vets. Sign up, challenge yourself, and be part of something special.
Choose Your Experience:
- Free Option – Join at no cost and be part of the movement.
- Basic Gear Package – $55 – Finisher’s medal, race bib, and decal.
- Full Gear Package – $75 – All Basic Gear plus a commemorative t-shirt.
100% of proceeds from this event go to fund Team RWB’s programs for veterans.
We’ve already sold out of our first run of 2026 medals (incredible)! You can still register—your shirt/bib/decal will ship in February and the 2026 Sunni Triangle medal will ship later (estimated April)
The Thunder Run – Limited In-Person Kickoff Event (Jacksonville Beach, FL)
To kick off the GWOT 100, we’re hosting a special in-person event for a limited number of athletes: The Thunder Run, a 24-hour challenge at GORUCK HQ in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
- Date/Time: 4:00 ET 1/31/26 - 4:00 ET 2/1/26 (24 hour event)
- Afterparty: To follow. 4:00 2/1/26 - until complete
- Location: GORUCK HQ - 390 16th Street S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
- Capacity: Limited to 100 participants
- Registration Fee: $100 - each participant will receive a gift bag with OVER $200 worth of swag, to include a Relentless 1/4 zip and Ten Thousand Shorts/Shirt

The Thunder Run is a live kickoff celebration of the GWOT 100—not an alternative to the virtual event. Most participants will complete their 100 miles using the virtual option above during February. A small group will join us on the ground in Florida to kick the GWOT 100 off in style.
