Half Naked Half Marathon - Presented by Anniston Runners Club

Can you run half-naked in the cold January air? While we certainly don't expect this of everyone, this "stripped down" format for the race was tied to its humble beginnings, and it has evolved and grown since then. All half marathon finishers will receive a finisher medal. All quarter and half marathon runners will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt! It is quite the accomplishment to complete a HALF MARATHON! This year, both the half and quarter marathons WILL BE CHIP TIMED! The half marathon course is certified and will count as an official time. AGE GROUP awards will be given for BOTH races (distributed by 10-year age group).

Course closes at 11 a.m. Anyone on the course after this time is "on their own".

A long-sleeve race T-shirt for all entries and finishing medal for Half Marathon runners are given out to participants. To be guaranteed a race T-shirt, be sure to be registered at least four weeks before race day. We will provide an image of the finishing medal when one is available. Shirts will ONLY be available for pick up only on race day. You may have another runner pick up your shirt if you cannot attend.   

The Half Naked Marathon and Quarter Marathon is open to runners and walkers of all abilities. There is no age minimum. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian register for them online. We strongly discourage the use of earbuds. The roads are OPEN - you need to be aware of your surroundings.  Bicycles, in-line skates, and other non-official wheeled vehicles and pets are prohibited for registered runners! Service animals must have provided documents before the race for consideration.  Our insurance will not cover pets.  However, we will allow strollers with infants as long as you start at the back of the race pack.  Please be courteous of all runners and allow others to pass.

Anyone who breaks a course record (male or female) will receive $50 as part of their reward. If the runner cannot or does not wish to accept the cash prize, it will be donated to a charity or school athletic program of their choice. This reward only applies to the Half-Marathon. No reward is given for the Quarter-Marathon.
 

• Friday, January 8th, 2027:  Banquet and early packet pick up - ARC Headquarters - 5:00-7:00pm  26th W. 10th Street, Anniston.  
NOTE: Other participants are allowed to pick up your packet.

• Saturday, January 9th, 2027 – Race Day!  171 Town Center Drive,  Anniston, AL - Fort McClellan Medical Mall.  Plenty of parking in mall parking lot.  

We will have race day registration, however, we highly recommend doing so before the race.  ARRIVE early if you plan to register on race day. 
7:00a.m. - 7:45 a.m. – Last chance to pick up shirts and bibs
7:50 a.m. – Call to the start Line
8:00 a.m. – Quarter and Half Marathon Start!                                                                                                                                                                               

  Race awards can be picked up afterwards inside Medical Mall.  Overall winners please await for group photo.
