Not a runner? No problem. Join the fun with our 2-mile walk 🚶‍♀️🚶 and celebrate the glory days of headbanging in your own way. 🤘

And don’t forget the kids — the Little Banger 1K 👧👦 is free and perfect for young rockers ready to join the action! 🎉

You do not need to print it. We will need to scan the QR code on the receipt, though, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library.

We need volunteers for everything from aid station support to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance. This race is chip timed by Silver Circle with a chip start. Your time will start when you cross the start line and stops when you cross the finish line.

It doesn't get much flatter than the Bugline Trail (paved). The course is treelined with quarry views.

Walk | 5K map | 10K map | half map | park map

On the half course there are train tracks at mile 3.75. Do not race the train! It is much faster and bigger than you. We will have timing mats on both sides of the tracks so your time will be accurate. Think of it as taking a break from the mosh pit without punishment when you get back in it.

The shirts are cotton unisex just like all those head banging concerts you attended! Those registered before Monday, May 24th are guaranteed a custom race shirt. After that, shirts will be available while online supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come, first served basis.

All head bangers get a custom finisher's "medal." The medals are made from cassette tapes with a custom lanyard.

Overall Male & Female will receive custom vinyl record awards. Top 3 male & female finishers in 5 year age groups will receive a custom medal.  

There will be multiple aid stations on course with water, energy gel and Gatorade.

Aid stations may be self serve. 

Parking is available at the park, though parking at the start/finish line is very limited. You will likely need to park at another lot and walk to the start/finish area (see Park Map). There is no parking along the roads within the park.  

Do NOT park in the beach parking lot. You will get a ticket!

There is a $6.00 county park day pass or an annual pass required. Both the annual pass and daily pass must be purchased online BEFORE the event.  There is NO in person payment available.
