Hell Hath No Hurry — Race Overview
Hell Hath No Hurry is a project of Hell Hath No Profit, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to showcasing the beautiful trails of Settlers Cabin Park. This looped trail race is built around community, perseverance, and spending a full day enjoying the woods together.
Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome—from first-time trail racers looking for a fun challenge to seasoned ultrarunners chasing 50 miles. Choose your distance, take on the scenic 10K loop through the park, and enjoy a supportive trail-running atmosphere from start to finish.

All events end at 8:00 PM.
All runners must begin their final lap by 6:00 PM.

The Course
- 10K loop on marked trails within Settlers Cabin Park
- Primarily single-track with hills, roots, mud, and natural terrain
- Minimal road crossings
- Direction of travel may change during the race
- The course will be well marked, but runners must follow the blazes

Main Aid Station (Start/Finish)

Water, electrolyte drink, PB&J, chips, pretzels, candy, salt tabs, and other trail-friendly snacks.
No guarantee of gels.
Halfway Aid Station
Supported by Audrey Burgoon of Urban Impact
Water, electrolyte drink, and an incredible variety of homemade trail foods.
Personal Aid Access:
- 50 Mile runners may access their vehicles every lap.
- 30K & 50K runners may set up a small personal aid area near the start/finish.
Post-Race Cookout
A post-race cookout will be held for runners, crews, friends, and family beginning around 3:00–4:00 PM.
- Hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options
- Picnic-style sides
- Cold beverages (beer for ages 21+)
Staggered start times help bring runners back together for a lively finish-line celebration.

Please note: runners must complete the distance they registered for. Distance changes during the race are not permitted.

Aid Stations
Main Aid Station: The Aid Station at the Start/ Finish Location will have water and/or Gatorade or Gatorade like drink and other ultra fare such as PB&J, Chips, Pretzels, Candy, and other assorted food stuff. It will not have gels or goo!
Halfway Aid Station: There will also be another aid station set up approximately half way through the course. It will not have gels or goo! This aid station will have water, Gatorade, and an assortment of other awesomeness. This is the station to stop at for the most delish fare.
Post-Race Cookout: I'm very happy to say that we are planning to have the post-race cookout for runners, crews, families, and friends to replenish their reserves. Once the race is over we should be able to have folks stick around to enjoy a hamburger, hot dogs, other salads, and some cold sodas and/or brewskies for those over 21.
Pre Race
Packet Pick up
Packet pickup will be at Pro Bike & Run Robinson on Friday June 28, from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Stop by and get your socks and shirt if you ordered one. There will be a limited number of race shirts available for sale at registration for $20, once they sell out they are gone. You can also pick up your stuff on race morning. Registration will open at 5:00 am and remain open until the 30K starts at 2:00 pm. Please arrive at least 45 minutes early to ensure you can park and get your good before the race starts. All races will start promptly with every intention to be on time. Race start times are listed below.
50 Mile - Start Time: 6:00 AM
50K - Start Time: 10:00 AM
30K - Start Time: 2:00 PM
10K - Start Time: 8:00 AM
Start/Finish Area: We have a new start/finish area at the Cayuga shelter. 40°26'04.3"N 80°09'36.4"W Here is link in google maps https://goo.gl/maps/fbDB3xkb1so Its down the road and across the street from Algonquin and right by a children's playground. So bring the family and the kids will have a place to play while mom or dad are out running.
Parking
Parking is going to be tight, please consider carpooling if possible. The map below shows where runners are to park. 50Mile, 50K, and 30K runners will be parking in Cayuga, Gilbert Love, Algonquin and/or Moccasin grooves with overflow parking in the Wave Pool parking lot. All 10K runners are to park in the wave pool parking lot. There will be people helping with parking, please listen to them and try to park as close together as possible. Thanks in advance for your patience!

Trail:
All races will start and finish at the Cayuga Groove at Settlers Cabin park.
The trail will be a 10K loop, runners must run direction specified by race director.
The direction of travel may change during the course of the race.
Terrain will primarily be single-track trail with minimal road crossings.
There will be hills, mud, vegetation, and/or other obstacles.
The trail will be well marked, but it is up to each racer to navigate his/her own way.
Aid: There will be one Full Service Aid Station at the Start/ Finish Location with water, Gatorade, chips, pretzels, PB&J, etc., etc. There will also be another full-service aid station set up approximately halfway through the course. There are porta-potties and pit bathrooms at the main aid station. Also, there is room for 30k and 50k runners to set up their own mini-aid station at the main aid station. 50-mile runners will be crossing by their cars after every lap so they can easily access food or gear from their cars.
Post Race
The race start times are staggered so everyone finishes at nearly the same time for a post-race cookout. The cookout is open to runners and their crews, Hamburgers, Hot dogs, veggie/vegan burgers, Beer and other picnic fares will abound. 10K runners are welcome to return to cheer on other runners and partake in the cookout. The grill will start running around 3 or 4 pm and go until the end of the event. We try to save food for everyone, including the last runner. But the faster you finish the more choices you will have.
RD's Run For Free
Directing a race is a hard and thankless task! If you are one of those great individuals who direct a trail or ultra race, we would like to thank you by offering you a free registration for this event. All you have to do is click here to send an email with the following information. Your name, the race your direct, the distances offered, and a link to the website with details about the race. Once we get that we will generate a code that you can use to register for free.
Rules
Rules - Solo
50 Mile Entrants complete 8 laps of the 10K course, minimum runners age is 18 years old.
50K Entrants complete 5 laps of the 10K course, minimum runners age is 16 years old with parental permission.
30K Entrants complete 3 laps of the 10K course, minimum runners age is 14 years old with parental permission.
10K Entrants complete 1 lap of the 10K course, minimum runners age is 12 years old with parental permission.
Awards will be given to the top Male and Female racers in each race distance.
All runners must start at the specified race start time.
All runners will receive a handcrafted finisher award for completing the race they registered to run. No switching of race distance during the race, please don't ask to do it.

Pacers - Pacers are only allowed for runners participating in the 50-mile race. 50 Mile runners can have a pacer with them after they complete 5 laps of the course. Pacers are to travel behind their runners and are not to carry any items for the runner they are pacing. Pacers must register at the starting line and sign a waiver. They are free to accept aid at aid stations as well.
All rules are subject to enforcement and the subjective decision of the Race Director.
Rules - Relay
All teams will consist of 3 runners, no more, no less.
Teams can determine when and who runs each of the first 7 of the 8 loops of the course. But all team members must complete the final lap together. Team members cannot start the last lap until the first 7 laps are complete. Team time will be when the last team member finishes the last lap.

Runner 2 runs lap 5
Runner 3 runs lap 6
Runner 1 runs lap 7
Runner 1, 2 & 3 run lap 8 together.

The Trail
The trail will be a 10K loop using the trails blazed within Settler's Cabin Park.
Runners completing distances longer than the 10K will run the same loop multiple times.
30k = 3 loops
50k = 5 loops
50 Mile = 8 loops
The direction of travel may change during the course of the race.
Runners must run direction specified by race director.

Trail Sisters
Hell Hath No Hurry is happy to comply with all requirements of the Trail Sisters Approval Standards. These requirements include the following:
1. Equal Podiums & Awards: Top Male and Female in each division will receive a custom crafted finishers awards. If additional prizes are presented, then we will ensure that each Male and Female receive an equivalent prize.
2. Women’s Specific Apparel: Given that the race typically distributes socks for all participant, sizing options are provided in male and female sizing. Hell Hath No Hurry has always offered gender specific shirts for sale to all participants.
3. Menstrual Products at Aid Stations: Menstrual products (tampons & pads) will be available and visible on all aid station tables in race.
4. Women on the Starting Line: Women will be encouraged to move to the front prior to the race.
5. Pregnancy & Postpartum Policy: Beginning in 2025, Hell Hath No Hurry has adopted a Pregnancy & Postpartum Policy. Whether planned or unplanned, an expected or unexpected start or end to a pregnancy, healing and recovery time are required for a women’s overall health. HHNH will offer new or expectant mothers up to two years of deferral for any race distance they have entered.
