Team Holloman is opening the gates and inviting our families and friends in Alamogordo and the surrounding areas to join us for an adrenaline-filled day of sportsmanship and competition.
Are you ready for it?
Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there is an event for everyone. Holloman Ace of Races offers four events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and the Kids Dash. Join us and be a part of Holloman AFB's Ace of Races marathon! All proceeds from the registration will be put towards the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation fund that benefits Holloman AFB Airmen and their families.
The course is nestled between the Sacramento Mountains and the glistening gypsum dunes of White Sands National Park, passing by points of Air Force history along the way. With only 52 to 65 feet of elevation gain, the race provides a uniquely flat course on paved roads, creating the perfect conditions for your first and/or fastest 26.2, 13.1 or 3.1 miler! With less than a mile to finish, run through our static aircraft and equipment on display, showcasing our unique mission. In a typical military cadence, the race ends with a "left, right, left" to closeout its last half mile.

*Racecourse will close at 4 pm for the Marathon and Half Marathon, and at 10:30 am for the 5K. Remaining participants will be picked-up.

Directions & Parking
IMPORTANT: Plan to arrive 1.5 to 2 hours before your scheduled event. Main Gate is open 24/7. However, non-DoD cardholders can only enter between 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Race Day. Non-DoD cardholder spectators must be in the same vehicle as the registered participant. Road closures will be in effect beginning at 8 a.m. Parking at the Domenici Fitness Center is free and located less than 600 ft. away from the start line. Overflow parking at Club Holloman is also free and located about 0.4 miles from the start line. Spectators may walk 0.3 miles to the Flight Line start/ finish area. FAQS: Registration Management
1. How do I register for a race?
To register for a race, create a RunSignup account and follow the tutorial.
2. How do I manage my registration?
You can view or edit your registration by navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration.
3. I lost my confirmation email. Can I have another one sent?
Absolutely! You can resend the confirmation email by navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Resend Confirmation. If you did not receive it, make sure to check the spam folder in your email client.
4. Can I transfer to a different event (Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, Kids Dash)?
Event to event transfer is authorized. You are only credited the amount paid for your current event. For example, if Lauren paid $45 for the 5K event and transfers to the Half Marathon event which cost $75, Lauren will be required to pay the difference of $30. If you are transferring to a cheaper event, you will not pay any additional standard fees for the Event Transfer. However, the difference in pricing will not be refunded. Submit any transfer requests to the Race Director no later than a week prior to race. You may request to transfer from the Marathon or Half Marathon to the 5K during packet pick-up or on race day from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
5. How do I transfer from one authorized event to another?
You can transfer to another event by navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer to Another Race.
6. Can I defer my registration to next year?
No. Unfortunately, this race is not guaranteed next year.

7. Can I register/pick-up my bib on race day?
Yes, packet pickup will be available on race day. However, the deadline for registration is the day prior to race.
8. What do I need to bring for packet pick-up?
Bring a photo ID
9. What if I can't pick-up my bib prior to race day?
If you are unable to pick-up your packet at the scheduled date, please assign a representative to pick it up on your behalf. The representative must bring a copy of your photo ID and registration confirmation.
10. I am a non-DoD cardholder. How do I pick-up my bib?
Do not worry! We will have a designated location off-base to ensure you have the same opportunity as our DoD cardholders. More to follow for off-base location details.
11. What are the age requirements for each event?
o Marathon: 16 years or older on race day
o Half Marathon: 12 years or older on race day
o 5K: 5 years or older on race day
o Kids Dash: 5 to 12 years on race day
12. Can I run any of the events if I did not register?
No. Only registered participants will be permitted on the course. For the Kids Dash, parents/guardians are permitted to run along with their child(ren) as long as the child is registered. Finisher medals will only be given to the registered kid(s).
13. Is the race open to the public?
Yes. No base access is needed! All people and vehicles are subject to inspection, search, and seizure.
14. At what time should I arrive to the event?
We recommend you arrive at least 1.5 hours before the scheduled start time of your event. This will give you enough time to go through security, park, and check-in. You may also want to use the restroom and warm up prior to race start. We will have one of our awesome instructors lead the warmup in the morning! Non-DoD cardholders may enter the installation between 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
15. Is on-site parking available?
Yes. More details to follow on parking locations.
16. Is there's a place to drop-off my belongings?
You may use the lockers inside the Domenici Fitness & Sports Center. Bring a lock if you would like to lock your belongings. Otherwise, please leave your belongings in your vehicle. The parking lot is walking distance from the start line. Do not leave any items unattended!
17. When/where are the results posted?
Results will be LIVE here. You can also find your results by navigating to Profile > My Registered Races > Results.
18. Who will receive a finisher's medal?
Registered participants who cross the finish line within the time limit, including participants in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K.

19. Where do the events start/finish?
The Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K will start and finish at W 11th St. and the Kids Dash will be at the outdoor running track. All locations are near to the Domenici Fitness & Sports Center.
20. Are any of the events walker-friendly?
The 5K and Kids Dash are the only walker-friendly events. If you are walking, we ask you to please start in the back. Remember that you must finish by the course time limits. All time limits are based on gun time.
21. What are the course time limits?
o Marathon: 8 hours
o Half Marathon: 7 hours 45 minutes
o 5K: 2 hours
o Kids dash: 1 hour
22. Who/what is not permitted on the race course?
The following is prohibited but not limited to:
o Non-registered personnel
o Spectators
o Animals (sorry, we do love our animals but only service animals allowed)
o Bicycles
o Roller blades/skates
o Scooters
o Strollers (ALLOWED on the 5K course only)
o Nor any other wheeled vehicle, except for Emergency Medical Service, Fire Department, Security Forces, and other authorized personnel.
23. How will I know where to go on the course?
The course will include arrows, event signs, and mile markers. Also, our volunteers will be posted along the course. We got you!
24. Are there any aid/hydration stations along the course?
Yes! Aid/hydration stations will be placed every 2-3 miles for the Marathon and Half Marathon. All aid/hydration stations will include water, of course! Some will include Gatorade, energy gels, fruits (bananas & oranges) portable restrooms, and medical personnel ready to provide first-aid. Security Forces will also be posted along the course and assist (if needed).
25. Will photographers be on the course?
Yes. Ensure to wear your bib on the front. Smile and pretend like nothing is hurting! We will send you an email once the photos are ready :)
26. Can I qualify for the Boston Marathon?
YES! Our course is USATF certified.

27. I would like to see my registration receipt. Can I have a receipt sent?
You can view your transaction by navigating to Profile > My Transactions (link at the bottom of your profile under the Financial Links section).
28. How do I request a refund?
Due to the upfront costs, all entry and sale fees are non-refundable. We understand plans change and circumstances beyond our control occur. Yet, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy instead of being subjective on who should receive a refund. Refunds will not be issued for event cancellation.

2. Bib Rules
o Registered participants will receive a custom bib.
o Display parking decal on the inside left corner of windshield to enter the installation.
o Wear the bib on the front of the t-shirt or left thigh to participate.
o Do not fold or roll bib and chip.
o Do not transfer your bib or RFID to another person.
3. Event Timing
o We will use SunDragons ATC computerized timing for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K.
o Participants must start at the scheduled time (not earlier, not later).
o Results will be live here.
o Awards will be determined by chip time, not gun time.
4. Course Time Limits
o Marathon: 8 hours
o Half Marathon: 7 hours 45 minutes
o 5K: 2 hours
* After the time limit is up, our assigned volunteers will pick up any participants still on the course.
5. Base Entry Restrictions
o All people and vehicles are subject to inspection, search, and seizure.
o The following is not permitted:
- Contraband
- Ice chests
- Illegal drugs
- Pets are not allowed other than certified service animals
- Recreational marijuana in any form
- Tents or shade canopies
- Recreational marijuana in any form
- Weapons of any kind
o Violating any of the mentioned above will result in the items being confiscated and may result in Federal Criminal charges.
6. Course Safety
o For the enjoyment and safety of all participants and spectators, the race courses are restricted to registered and authorized personnel only.
o The following are not permitted:
- Animals (except for service animals)
- Bicycles
- Roller blades/skates
- Scooters
- Strollers (ALLOWED on the 5K course)
- Nor any other wheeled vehicle
7. Spectator Guidelines
o Spectators are more than welcome!
o Not allowed to enter the course nor run alongside athletes.

8. Photography
o Do not take photos nor videos as you enter the installation
o Limit photography/videography to the start/finish area
