About Honoring our Heroes Marathon
"All gave some...some gave all." We are free to run, thanks to the men and women who have defended this great country of ours. Join us for our all-charity event to raise funds for local veteran's causes and to honor those who have served. Our course isn't for sissies. It is beautiful, hilly, rural country, but our course is almost entirely paved. We have a free Pasta Party in Salem at packet pick up; our post-race party is legendary; we are small enough to provide personal attention to each runner, walker, sponsor, and volunteer. Plan to join us!
HEROES RUCK Division
Calling all Ruck warriors, who love the walk as much as the run!
The HEROES Marathon Event is offering a HEROES RUCK division in both Light (20lb) and Heavy (40lb) ruck categories. Rucking events are open in ALL of our event distances - 5K, 10K, Relay, Half, and Full Marathons! Ruck Awards will be given in 5 year age increments, in both the light and heavy categories. All rucks will be weighed once you cross the finish line. In addition, we will have an Overall Ruck Winner in both Light and Heavy.

Here’s how to participate in the Virtual Runs
- Get out there (safely) and run a fast Marathon / Half-Marathon / 10K / 5K – anywhere you want – from November 1 thru November 14
- Submit Your Virtual Results - Once you have completed your race, self-report your virtual results by clicking on Results, choosing Virtual (Your Distance) Results Set and then clicking on the Submit Virtual Results button.
