About Kayla O'Mara Memorial Road Race
5k course starts on Hegel Road in front of Goodrich High School. This year we expect to be back to our traditional route with a track finish.
5k start time is 8:30 AM. Overall winners and course records will be based off of gun time. Age group awards will be based off of chip time.
1/2 Mile start time is 9:30 AM.
Race course is open to traffic so participants are asked to move to the right as soon as possible.

Custom Memorial Finisher Medal to the first 300 5k registrants!!!
2025 features a throw back medal using the same shape and image we used in our inaugural 2006 Memorial Event but made in the USA! 
5k Run/Walk Awards: $100 cash to the overall male/female 5k winners and $50 cash to the overall male/female masters 5k winners!
3 deep in the following 5k run age groups male/female: 11 & Under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90 & Up
5k Competitive Walk Awards: Overall Top 3 Finishers Male/Female PLUS Top Finisher in each age group.
If an age group winner is Top 3 overall they are taken out of the age group awards.
Walk age groups: 29 & Under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 100 & up

The price of the virtual 5k event includes a custom memorial finisher medal, shirt (while supplies last), bib and other Kayla swag.

Thursday, July 31, 3:30-6 PM at Bauman's Running & Walking Shop
Friday, August 1, 4-6 PM at Goodrich High School - rear near the auditorium under a blue pop up tent.
Saturday, August 2, 7:00 AM-8:15 AM Goodrich High School
Participants can complete the race any time between August 3 and August 31. Results must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM on August 31. Tag @KaylaRace on Facebook or @Kayla_Race Instagram with your personal race photos so we can cheer for you!
Steps to Submit Results:
Step 1: Visit the results page on runsignup.com/kaylarun
Step 2: Login to your RunSignUp account OR search yourself by name
Step 3: You will need your electronic bib number. If you do not know your bib number please log into your account to access your number under your race registration.
Step 4: Enter your time
