Kentucky Hands & Voices SuperHEARo 5K

Join us for the 9th annual SuperHEARo 5K on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The 5K (a timed event) will take place at 9:00am shortly followed by the 1.5 Mile Fun Run (non-timed event) at 9:05am. In addition to an in-person event at White Hall State Historic Site, we will also have a virtual option so you can join us from near or far! Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero. Packet pick-up will be available at Surge Screenprinting on Friday, May 15th from 11:30am-1:30pm and 4:00-5:15pm or prior to the race on Saturday beginning at 8:00am.

Awards will be given for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers as well as Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60-64, and 65+ as well as Best Dressed Male & Female Superheroes. There will also be a prize for the Best Dressed Wonder Pet.

Race Info

1. Where will the race be held? The in-person event will be held at White Hall State Historic Site off of exit 95 on I-75 in Richmond, KY. For the virtual option, you can join us from anywhere! 
2. What time does the race start? The 5K will begin at 9:00am shortly followed by the 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 9:05am. 
3. When does online registration close?  Online registration will be available until 11:59pm on May 15, 2026. Race day registration will be available on site for $40.
4. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes a race t-shirt and chip-timed race bib number. (Virtual 5K participants will not receive a race bib.) NOTE: Race t-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after May 1.
5. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes, all proceeds benefit Kentucky Hands & Voices, a non-profit, parent-driven organization dedicated to supporting families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
6. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. Registration fees go to the benefiting charity and are non-refundable.
7. When can I get my race shirt and race number?  Local packet pick-up will be available at Surge Screen Printing in Richmond on Friday, May 15 from 11:30am-1:30pm and 4:00-5:15pm. You can also pick up your race packet beginning at 8:00am on the day of the race.

Only participants who register by May 1 are guaranteed a soft-style race t-shirt. After that date, shirts are available on a limited basis.
