PRE-EVENT CONTACT

We would love to work with you to feature your product or business with our racers.  There are many ways to be involved and gain exposure, from hosting a packet pick up location or after party, sponsoring a water station (at select events), adding a goody or coupon to the goody bag, providing an in-kind donation/sample for the racers on the course or at the finish line, or setting up a booth on race-day at the expo. 

We can feature your business on the event webpage, racer emails or social media!  All sponsorship payments must be received before your business is included in any kind of mention or posting.

TENT/TABLE:  You will be given approximately 12'x12' of space.  Tents and tables are NOT included, however, some of you have already arranged for table/tent rental from 3W Races.  In that case, your tent and or table will be set for you at your designated space.

Generally, tent rental is $95 and tables are $20 each to rent for the event.  3W will bring the tent/table, set it up at your designated location and tear it down at the end of the event.  If you are interested in this arrangement, please coordinate with us at least one week in advance.

Goody Bag Stuffer:

If you have arranged to place something into the Goody Bag, please make sure your 'stuffer' reaches us by the deadline so our volunteers and staff can get it into each racer's goody bag!  Items received after the deadline will not be in the goody bag.

Generally, 200-260 participants register for this event.  210-240 participants FINISH the 5k distance (not including the Kids Fun Run).

Race Day: Location/Time

TIME: 6:30-7:00 AM Vendor Set Up, Race starts at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM is Tear Down. The finish line officially closes when the last runner crosses. 

SURFACE: Vendors, you will set up on green space; plan accordingly.  Tent weights are recommended.  Staking is not allowed. There is plenty of free parking near the expo.  See PARKING Map

Dogs, Strollers & Fireworks

Your well behaved, leashed dogs and well behaved children in strollers are welcome on this course.  Slower runners should always stay to the right, faster runners should pass on the left.  Please leave your fireworks at home.  The only thing on fire during this race should be your muscles!

Swag/Sizing

Available shirt sizes are listed during registration.  In the final few days before the event, some sizes will sell out.   Not all sizes may be available for same day registration. 
Visit the 3W Races table at the Expo after 8:00 AM for shirt exchange if you are interested in trading out the size you ordered for a different size!

Timing/Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women overall as well as the top three men and women in each age group.

Age groups: 
5k: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

This event is chip timed.  The timing chip is affixed to the back of your race bib.  Please do NOT remove it.  Please wear YOUR bib on the front, outside of your clothing - in front of your stomach.

Overall award winners are based on GUN time.  Age group winners are based on CHIP (net) time.

SWAG

All 5k participants receive a collector's Finisher's PINT GLASS and a short sleeved tee shirt - gender specific sizing is available!

Costume Contest

Dress up as your favorite American Hero! This could be your mom, dad, Albert Einstein, Batman, Superman, or the Powerpuff girls! Unique heroes is what makes this event so exciting!  We've got some fun prizes for those costumed heroes we like best!

Our charity partner is the OUR Center (Outreach United Resource). They assist individuals and families in need of food, resources, and to develop vital life-long skills to enable self-sufficiency.
