FAQs

Limitless 5K – Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the 1K and the 5K?

The All Abilities 1K is a shorter, supportive route designed for participants of all ages and abilities. It is untimed and meant to be completed at your own pace — walk, roll, or stroll!

The Limitless 5K is a longer, 3.1-mile route for all runners, walkers, and rollers. It is a timed event, but participants are always welcome to move at whatever pace feels comfortable. Running is not required!  (myTEAM TRIUMPH will participate in this event.)

I’m with myTEAM TRIUMPH — do I have to pay?

If you are a registered member of myTEAM TRIUMPH this year, your registration fee is waived.

If you’re interested in becoming a Captain (athlete) or Angel (volunteer), you can learn more through myTEAM TRIUMPH directly at https://www.myteamtriumph-wi.org/

Can I bring a caregiver or support person?

Yes! Caregivers & support partners are welcome and encouraged to participate alongside athletes with a disability, at no cost. Please include your caregivers name upon registration.   (We kindly ask that those wanting to participate in the race and receive a bib & shirt, register for the race at cost.)

What kind of adaptive equipment can I use?

All adaptive equipment is welcome. This includes (but is not limited to):

Manual or power wheelchairs
Walkers or gait trainers
Adaptive bikes or trikes
Strollers
Medical or mobility supports
*Available Chair when registered with myTEAM TRIUMPH.

Please note: For the 5K, myTEAM TRIUMPH will lead the way, with timed pace markers set for runners from shortest to longest elapsed time. Adaptive equipment & strollers will line up at the end of pace markers.  Thanks!

This is my first run/walk — how should I dress?

Late April in Wisconsin can be unpredictable! On April 26, we recommend:

Comfortable athletic clothing you can move in
Layers (a light jacket, hoodie, or long-sleeve you can remove)
Comfortable sneakers or supportive shoes
Hat and sunglasses if it’s sunny
Gloves if it’s chilly
Blanket if participating in myTEAM TRIUMPH

And remember -- it's always better to wear layers you can take off than not have enough. The event will take place light rain or shine. If weather is exceedingly inclement, we will send a notice of cancellation.

Do I have to run?

No! You can walk, roll, jog, or move at your own pace. The event is about participation, inclusion, and community — not speed.

Is the event accessible?

Yes. The event is designed to be inclusive and accessible for individuals of all abilities. Accessible parking will be available, along with a drop-off station.  Please note: there is a limited number of accessible restrooms available at the park. We encourage participants to come prepared.

If you have specific accommodation needs, please contact us in advance so we can best support you.

Where should I park? Is accessible parking available?

Free parking will be available at Ledgeview Park, Old School Square lot (south of Ledgeview Park) and along Dickinson Road. An accessible parking lot will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for participants who need it.

A designated drop-off area with volunteers will also be available to assist participants and families before parking. Volunteers can help with directions and getting you safely to the event area.

We recommend arriving early to allow plenty of time for parking and check-in.
