Livestrong at the Y 5K & Half Marathon

Run for a Cause. Run with the Y. The YMCA of Metro North and the Torigian Family YMCA are excited to host our annual Livestrong at the Y 5K & Half Marathon this Fall. This inspiring road race benefits Livestrong at the Y, a 12-week program that helps cancer survivors regain strength, balance, and confidence after treatment.

Participants can choose from two event options:

• 5K
• Half Marathon

Whether you're a seasoned runner or new to the sport, there's something for everyone! Runners and walkers alike can enjoy a morning of community and support by signing up for the family-friendly 5K, or challenge themselves with the longer Half Marathon options.

Registration includes post-race refreshments. Age-specific awards are available for 5K participants only.

NEW for this year's 5K race! Our "Family Rate" allows 4 participants from the same family household to register together for just $100. This rate is for family members only-- perfect for parents, kids, and siblings ready to get active together!

The YMCA of Metro North Road Race Series raises funds for a variety of charitable activities that benefit our community. Participants in our four unique 5K races run or walk to support the YMCA of Metro North Annual Fund and raise money to provide access to YMCA child care, camp, and health and wellness programs to everyone. In 2025 the YMCA of Metro North provided more than $3 million in financial aid providing all children, adults and families with opportunities to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body regardless of income.

The Livestrong program provides the physical activity and social connections that have been proven to help cancer survivors decrease fatigue after treatment and increase energy and overall quality of life. Please consider supporting our Livestrong program, you can donate any amount!

When you sign up for the LiveSTRONG at the YMCA you’re eligible to earn a cash reward when you refer friends and family to sign up.
