Lucky Dog 5K - Indianapolis

Lucky Dog 5K is all about Running (or Walking) and supporting amazing animal shelters! "Let's raise the woof"

Join us on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at 9:00am EST for an exciting "Lucky Dog 5K-9 Themed" event that features the scenic views of White River State Bark, Downtown Indianapolis!  
This race is a sure thing for a great doggy good time!

5k Registration Includes:

• Short Sleeve T-Shirt 
• Human Finisher Medal
• Clip On Dog Charm Finisher's Medal (one dog charm medal per a human registration)
• 5k Run/Walk Entry
• Finish Line Treats For Humans and Dogs!
• Chipped Timed 5K

Can I Run with My Pet?  Absolutely!  We are running to support pets, pet lovers, and animal charities!  So you can run or walk with or without your pet!  Be sure to add on their Lucky swag too!

Q: I cannot come, what are my options?  Can I get a refund?
A:  Sorry there are no refunds for any reason.  We offer 3 different options to choose from.
1)  You may switch to virtual and have your swag mailed for an additional $15 fee (Price per person).
2)  You may pick up at the early packet pickup or have a friend pick up your swag on race day 
3)  You may sell/give away your entry to a family/friend at no additional cost.

Q:  Are there water stops on the course?
A:  No, there will be water bottles provided before and after the 5k .  You are welcome to carry a full bottle of water with for 3.1 miles or until you see a trash can. Must dispose all bottles in trash cans or recycle bins.
 
Q:  Will the race still happen if it is raining or Snowing?
A:  Yes!!!  We will only delay for lightning or tornado.
 
Q:  Can I register my kids for the 5K?
A:  Absolutely!!  We love to see your Lucky lads running or walking! Register your Lucky Lad and hopefully they WIN their age group!
 
Q:  Is this course stroller-friendly?   May I push a stroller? 
A: Yes – please be courteous of runners in a hurry.  You do not need to register kids in strollers, but please note they will not receive a shirt and no medal.
 
Q:  Is this event dog-friendly?  Can I bring my dog? 
A:  Yes – and no charge:)  you know the rules… clean up. Please be respectful of other runners.  Be sure to add on their Lucky swag too (not included with the 5K registration).
 
Q:  Are there Awards? 
A:  Yes, 5K  has Top 3 Male/Female Overall Winners.  Top 3 Male/Female in each Age Group.

*Prizes will not be mailed.

Q:  Will the age group prizes be mailed?
A:  No, all prizes must be picked up at the results table.  If you did not pick up your prize there will be a $8 fee to be mailed to you.

• There are parking garages at IUPUI that will take credit cards *but other parking rates do apply.  

• White River State Park has an underground parking garage that will take credit cards (front of the Indiana State Museum) *but other parking rates do apply.
