Megalodon Weekend

Do both the Shark's Tooth 10K on Saturday, March 7, 2026, and the Shark Fin 5K on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Venice Airport Festival Grounds.  

                                                 OR

Register for just the Shark's Tooth 10K on Saturday or the Shark Fin 5K on Sunday.

Registration for the Megalodon Challenge includes the race shirt (or choose "No Shirt" and save $5), the Shark's Tooth 10K Medal, Shark Fin 5K Medal and the Megalodon Mega Medal.   

Can't run with us both days?  During your Megalodon registration let us know you want to be Mega Flexible then indicate which event you'll be doing in-person and which will be virtual. 

Can't be with us in-person either day?  Register for the ALL VIRTUAL Megalodon Challenge (or Virtual Shark's Tooth 10K or Virtual Shark Fin 5K) and we will ship your Megalodon Swag to you at the address you indicate during your registration, shipping fees included in the registration. 

Register before Monday February 10th, to be guaranteed race shirts!!

To pick up your race packet (or have someone pick it up for you), show the QR code from your confirmation email; tell the volunteer your bib number; or, we can check you in by name...it's that easy.

Race packets not picked up by Sunday at the end of packet pick up will forfeited.  You may swap your unworn race shirt for the available sizes after packet pick up on Sunday.  If you opted for "No Shirt" and saved $5 but would like a shirt and your size becomes available on Sunday, a shirt can be yours for $5.

     Shark's Tooth 10K - Saturday

• Festival Grounds gates open at 5:30 a.m.

• Race Morning Registration and Packet Pick-Up from 5:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on-site at the Venice Festival Grounds

• Shark's Tooth 10K race starts at 7:15 a.m.

• Awards around 9:15 a.m. 

     Shark Fin 5K - Sunday 

• Festival Grounds gates open at 6:15 a.m. 

• Race Morning Registration & Packet Pick-Up from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on-site at the Venice Airport Festival Grounds.

• Shark Fin 5K race starts at 8:00 a.m.

• Awards around 9:15 a.m.

The Shark Fin 5K is on the Festival Grounds and the Venetian Waterway Trail.  It is a spectator and family friendly course using only the Festival Grounds and Venetian Waterway Trail.   You will not be running on public roads and there will be only minimal vehicular traffic coming or going on the Festival Grounds.

The Shark's Tooth 10K is the first race of the Megalodon Weekend and begins the Megalodon Challenge for participants who do both the Shark's Tooth 10K on Saturday and the Shark Fin 5K on Sunday.

The Shark's Tooth 10K course is a flat fast course, just a few turns and some areas and bollards to slow you down!  Off the Festival Grounds, you'll remain on Airport Avenue (please stay to the LEFT!) until turning left onto Harbor Drive for a scenic run down Harbor Dr to Caspersen Beach Park, through the bollards, along the path then a loop on a packed jeep trail, back onto the paths, over a pedestrian bridge with more bollards on each end, then onto the Venetian Waterway Park to head north back to the Festival Grounds, off the Venetian Waterway Trail at the Airport Ave. trailhead through bollards, and returning to the Finish Line on the Festival Grounds.  

 Hurricane Course Update Caspersen Beach is not useable, please see the new map for the 10K only. The 5K is the same.
