Music City Run for Dyslexia

1-in-5 kids are impacted by Dyslexia. 

Go the extra mile to help our children read on Saturday September 26th at the 4th annual Music City Run for Dyslexia. Every step counts in the 5K run/walk and 10K course along the Cumberland River and through Shelby Bottoms, one of Nashville’s most beautiful greenways. In addition, a 1-Mile Dyslexia Dash will be offered for all ages and ability. The event is hosted by Learning Matters, a non-profit organization established in 2006, that exists to help K-12 students with Dyslexia and other learning disabilities reach their academic and human potential by providing equitable access to the highest quality assessment, tutoring, and advocacy. Net proceeds of the Music City Run for Dyslexia help provide free interventional tutoring for students with Dyslexia.

Awards are given for the 10k and 5k in the following categories:

OVERALL AWARDS 10K and 5K
Top 3 Male & Female

MASTERS, GRAND, SENIOR GRAND MASTERS 10K and 5K
Top Male & Female in the following divisions:

Masters - 40+

Grand Masters - 50+

Senior Grand Masters - 60+

YOUTH 5K
Top 3 Male & Female in the following divisions:

14 - 17
10 - 13
7 - 9

1 Mile Dyslexia Dash

Top 3 Male OR Female

Award Notes:

1. Must be present to claim award (awards will not be mailed)
   
   
2. 1 Mile Dyslexia Dash will not be timed. Finisher medals and shirts ordered before 9/10 will be given. 

The Music City Run for Dyslexia will start and finish at the Riverview Pavilion at Shelby Park near the entrance to the Shelby Bottoms Greenway that runs along the Cumberland River. The courses are flat, fast, and scenic, including a loop through Shelby Park around Sevier Lake and on Shelby Bottoms Greenway. Arriving early is encouraged due to location of various parking lots.

* Learning Matters is located in 2nd Presbyterian Church. Please enter through the parking lot at the corner of Graybar Lane and Richards St. 
* Packet pickup is on the 2nd floor.
* Please bring a photo ID. If someone else will be picking up your packet, they must have a copy of your confirmation email and a printed or digital copy of your ID.
