About North Carolina Spring Classic & SpringsFest
SPRING is a wonderful time of year in the state of North Carolina: the temperatures begin to warm, the days get longer, the sun shines brighter, and the TRADITION of the hometown Holly Springs "NC Spring Classic" takes place! This local event encompasses all levels of runner and has distance options of 5k, 8k and 16k.
The race starts and finishes on Main St., the perfect setting in the heart of downtown! The course takes you on a running tour through the most scenic sections of "The Springs."
2026 will be the 7th running of the NC Spring Classic, and we can't wait! Grab your friends and join us!

Note: the 8k is a solid pour! -just like we fill your pint glass at the Runner's Clubhouse in Pace Yourself! It measures just a hair over 5 miles...so, when your watch hits 4.9 miles, keep going...and know you're getting bonus steps!
16 Note: From approximately miles 5.75 to 7.75, the surface is soft - a wide, compact mulch trail around BASS LAKE.

PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup days and times:
Thursday, 4/09 5-8pm at Pace Yourself Run Co.
Friday, 4/10 4-7pm at Pace Yourself Run Co.
NOTE: You may add-on race day packet pickup for an additional $5.
Race Day Packet-pickup is 6am-7am. Must be pre-registered in advance.
PLEASE allow yourself some time race morning and don't arrive at 6:55am for packet pickup. It will close at 7am sharp.
HOW TO VERIFY IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:
Log into your RunSignUp account --> click on your user profile circle in the upper right corner --> you will see your Upcoming Races --> find Spring Classic and click on MANAGE REGISTRATION.

16k - 7:15 am 8k - 7:25am 5k - 7:35am
Start and finish are on Main St., right in front of Pace Yourself Run Company. Portable bathrooms are located in the rear parking lot of the car wash on Main St.

Strollers are allowed, but for safety, we do ask that you line up toward the rear at the start. As much as we love dogs and pups, sorry...they are not allowed.
COURSE LIMIT
This event will be capped at 500 participants
The race will continue until 9:45 am. This will provide all runners a two 2.25+ hour time frame to complete the course.

BAG DROP
Bag drop will be located right outside of Pace Yourself. Please bring your own bag, as they won't be provided, and pack lightly.
AID STATIONS (Water at all aid stations, and both water & Skratch at Bass Lake)
5k= 1 Aid station located at Womble Park, at approx mile 1.5
8k = 3 Aid stations. 1 located on School Days Lane, which will be visited twice (miles .7 and 2.4) 1 located at Womble Park (mile 3.5)

PARKING
A parking map can be found at the top of this page under EVENT INFO. We strongly encourage that race participants park at Womble Park, 1201 Grigsby Ave, and walk a short 1/2 mile to the start on Main St. Due to Springs Fest, downtown parking will be extremely limited. Bathrooms are available at Womble Park and at the start (portable toilets are located in the rear parking lot of the car wash on Main St.) Please note: Parking at the Library and Cultural Center will be unavailable due to the weekly Farmer's Market.
AWARDS
The overall 1st place winner will be awarded for both male & female runners in the 5k, 8k and 16k. In addition, male and female overall 1st in age group awards for the 5k, 8k and 16k will be given in the following categories:
12 & under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and Over
BIB TRANSFERS & REFUNDS
Bib transfers and event distance changes must be completed by 11:59pm on Wed, April 8th.
Unfortunately, there are no refunds or deferments for any circumstances - we will race rain or shine unless conditions are dangerous.
Bib transfers and event distance changes can be managed via your RunSignUp profile. Navigate to PROFILE>UPCOMING EVENTS>MANAGE REGISTRATION. Once there, you can select either "Transfer to another runner" or "Transfer to another event."

Road Closures & Neighborhood Detours
Please look for Officers of the Holly Springs Police Dept. who will be on the course assisting with traffic management. Also, there will be detour signs placed at key areas to assist with temporary traffic re-routing.

RESIDENTS EXITING THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS FROM & ONTO THE FOLLOWING ROADS SHOULD USE CAUTION AND TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING DETOURS:
Holly Springs Rd. will be closed in both directions from N. Main St. to Johnson Rd (at Holly Spring Elementary) from 7:00AM - approx. 8:15AM
Northbound Main Street traffic (ie coming from Hwy 55 by-pass): Main St. will be closed to all northbound traffic from Elm St. to Earp St. from 6AM - 12pm for the NC Spring Classic races and post-race event. Vehicles will be detoured left onto Elm St. to Avent Ferry Rd; then right to proceed to Earp; making a left to proceed to W. Holly Springs Rd. via Blalock St.
Southbound Main St. traffic (coming from N. Main St. or W. Holly Springs Rd): from 7AM - 12PM, will be detoured right onto Earp St., then left onto Avent Ferry Rd. to proceed to Elm St to make a left back to Main St.
Sunset Ridge and Windcrest residents travelling to or along Crossway Lane should expect to see runners from 7:15 - 8:00 AM along Crossway between the Veterans Park greenway access over to Amacord Way, with HSPD positioned at Skymont and Folsom Dr. You will also see runners on Amacord Way, Apple Drupe Way & Bikram Dr.
- Residents traveling westbound on Crossway from streets east of Skymont towards Skymont 7:15-8:00am will be detoured by HSPD left onto Skymont and must proceed towards Holly Springs Rd. via Rhamkatte Dr.
- Residents traveling eastbound on Crossway from Main St. 715-8:00am will be stopped at Folsom Dr. by HSPD. There will be no through traffic on Crossway to Skymont, nor via Bikram/Christmill.
- Palmdale Ct. residents will proceed to Palmdale/Crossway and make a right towards Main St.
- Residents of Amacord and Steedmont/Millpass/Bikram/Apple Drupe south of Crossway can either proceed toward Amacord and make a right onto Amacord (careful of oncoming runners), then left onto Crossway; or to Crossway making left turns only.
- Residents of Apple Drupe and Bikram north of Crossway from 7:15-8AM can proceed to Crossway and make a right turn only
- Residents of Millpass north of Crossway exiting the neighborhood are encourage to proceed north to Anchor Creek Way
- Residents of Steedmont north of Crossway are encourage to exit towards Main St.
- Sunny Chloe/Abbot Ridge/Chrismill residents exiting can proceed to either Folsom or Skymont carefully avoiding oncoming runners
- Residents who live east of Skymont approaching Folsom from Main St. from 7:15-8AM will either need to u-turn and return to Main St., or make a right onto Folsom, detouring right onto to Sandy Pointe Way, left onto St. Vincent, then left onto Cayman to proceed Holly Springs Rd.; then left to Rhamkatte Dr.
Windward Pointe residents between 7:15-8:15AM will have no ability to turn right, and limited ability to turn left, onto Holly Springs Rd. from Cayman Ave. Drivers on Collins St. will have no ability to turn left, and limited ability to turn right, onto Holly Springs Rd. between 7:15 - approx. 8:15M.
Sports at Jones Park and Womble Park will be starting at 12 Noon.
If possible, please avoid Grigsby Ave. in both directions from Earp Rd. to Stinson Ave. from 7:15 - 9:45AM. If necessary, please watch for runners in both directions and follow the suggestions of our Course Monitors and Police Officers.
Remington residents:
- exiting from Steeple Rd. can make a right turn only onto Grigsby from 7:30 - 9:45AM and proceed to Earp for right turn, or volunteer/HSPD assisted left turn. After 9:45AM, left turns can be made from Steeple proceeding to Oak St. or Elm St. (Rogers will be closed for SpringsFest)
- exiting from Lee St., can make a right turn only onto Grigsby only from 7:30 - 9:45AM and proceed to Earp for right turn or volunteer/HSPD assisted left turn.
- exiting from Turner St., with Volunteer assistance, left turn only allowed, then making right turn onto Elm St. from 7:30 - 9:45 AM. Be careful of runners in both directions.
- exiting from Baygall or Indian Hill Rds, unless you are going to the Hunt Center, please make a left onto Stinson and proceed to Bass Lake Rd.
Stinson Rd. will be closed between Baygall and Grigsby between 7:30-8:15AM. (except for access to Hunt Center).
Lakeside residents exiting from Maple Ave from 7:30 - 8:15 AM no right turns can be made onto Grigsby. Proceed, with HSPD or volunteer assistance, straight across Grigsby intersection toward S. Main St (between runners).
Parkside Village and Fair Hill residents exiting from Waterpointe Dr., Fair Glen Rd., and Fairground Rd. from 7:30 - 9:45 AM please make a left turn only, with volunteer assistance through runners, and proceed to Maple Ave. for a left turn (7:30-8:15A) or straight after 8:15A
Residents in Valleyfield, Park Avenue, and Parks at Bass Lake from 7:30 - 9:45 AM please avoid heading west towards/past the ball fields, and instead make your way to Blooming Meadow Rd., to Stinson, making a right to Bass Lake Rd.
