Olivia Kate’s Path 5K

Come out and honor Olivia Kate Pugh's life by participating in the 2nd annual Olivia Kate Pugh Strength and Shield Scholarship Memorial 5K Run.

We will be starting & finishing at Harrison High School on February 28, 2026 at 8:30 am.  We'll have short sleeve race shirts for all participants, as well as awards for the overall winners and all the usual age groups.

Regular Registration: (ends 02/20):

Race Day Registration:

*All participants registered by 02/14 are guaranteed a race shirt in your size. Afterwards, shirts will be while supplies last.

Olivia Pugh was a senior at Harrison High School when her life was suddenly and tragically taken by an impaired driver. In honor of Olivia's life, the Olivia Kate Pugh Strength and Shield Scholarship was created. The name is derived from Psalm 28:7, a guide to Olivia's life and a foundation for how she viewed the world.

"She believed she could so she did." Olivia was an athlete on the softball and flag football fields, on the basketball court, and on the track. Whenever possible, she chose her lucky number 3 as her jersey number. She was President of the Beta Club, a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Key Club, Octagon Club, Spark, challenged herself with Honors and AP courses, and somehow found time to work at Chick-Fil-A. Her kindness and shining light were contagious to all who were lucky enough to know her.

In honor of Olivia, this scholarship will go to hard-working and highly motivated Harrison High School seniors who share their light and kindness with others. Harrison faculty and coaches will nominate students. There will be at least one scholarship presented annually.

This year we have Cobb County Police support and approval to run on Due West Road. Course will start at Harrison High School, run along Due West Road with a turn-around at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church and back to Harrison. 

We will be chip timing the start & finish with Elite Race Timing. 

Custom Award Medals in the 5K as follows:

• Top 3 Overall Masters M/F
• Top 3 in each of the following age groups: 10 and under. 11 - 14, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49,50 - 59, 60 - 69, 70+

Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.

Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.

Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.

No COVID-19 Refunds.  If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided.  The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
