About Outrun Violence 5K
Youth Collaborative is dedicated to empowering young people in our community to overcome the challenges of violence, poverty, and limited opportunities. Through mentorship, education, and enrichment programs, we provide a safe and supportive environment where youth can build skills, confidence, and positive connections.
Proceeds from the Outrun Violence 5K directly support our programs that help youth develop leadership, resilience, and pathways to success. By participating in this race, you’re not just running, you’re helping to create a safer, stronger community and giving young people the tools they need to thrive.
Course Information
The course will be a two loop course that starts and finishes near the overhang of the overlook pier at Quarry Park. Runners will pass through the finish area once half way through the race and a second time to finish.
OLD Course Information - Happy Hills Course
The race will be held at Happy Hill Park and will be an out and back course that starts/finishes on the track.

Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be available on Friday the day before the race at Fleet Feet Winston-Salem between 4pm and 7pm.
Packet pickup will be available on race day at Quarry Park between 7:30am and 8:45am.
