Prevea Health Run Away to the Bay

The Prevea Health Run Away to the Bay is a 55-mile spring relay race with teams of 2-8 participants. Starting on the shores of Lake Winnebago in Menomonee Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, runners will head north along the lake towards the Fox Cities before crossing the countryside of Calumet County and finally entering the Fox River Trail just north of Forest Junction. Runners will stay on the trail until reaching the waterfront finish line on The City Deck, in Downtown Green Bay. This event is part of the 4imprint Race Series.

Run Away to the Bay begins in Menominee Park in Oshkosh, WI. The race will head North through town onto County Road A. The course will continue through the towns of Neenah and Menasha. It will merge with Midway Rd/Schmidt Rd and go through Darboy and Kaukauna. It will then enter the Fox River Trail just north of Forest Junction. We will stay on the trail through DePere until the Finish line on The City Deck.

REGISTRATION PRICING & DEADLINES

• Now – December 15: $70
• December 16 – February 28th – $80
• March 1 – March 31 – $90

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

• The average team pace must not exceed 12:00 min/mile due to municipalities, and a minimum age of 16.
• Teams must have a minimum of 2 participants and cannot exceed 8 participants.
• The course will close and the finish line will come down at 5:30pm

Does one person need to register the whole team?

No! One person does not need to handle registering the whole team. However, a person on your team will need to be designated as a Team Captain when registering. This person will need to sign up before anyone else on your team to create a team by choosing the Create a New Team option. The Team Captain will choose the team type, team name and team password that team members will use when registering themselves to the team.

The reason we also have the team password to connect teams beyond just the team name is that sometimes teammates choose the wrong team or there are teams with very similar names.

1. Log onto RunSignup, navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer to Another Runner. 
2. On the Transfer to Another Runner page, you will be shown your Transfer Information. Please confirm the information is correct and accurate.
3. After reviewing the information above, you can enter the Recipient Information. The recipient will receive an email notification with a unique link which they can use to claim this transfer.
4. Next, you can complete the Transfer process by clicking on the Transfer Type.

Transfer as Gift: When transferring a registration as a gift, you will not receive a refund of your original registration fee, though instead, your recipient is allowed to register free of charge.

Transfer for Refund: If you would like to transfer your registration and receive a partial refund, then click on the button labeled “Transfer for Refund”.

A breakdown of the transfer transaction will be available for reviewing, and if everything is correct, then hit “Transfer Registration”. You will be brought to your transaction’s confirmation page, where it can be printed out for your own records.

Wave assignments will be e-mailed to event participants and uploaded to the top of the official race webpage the first week of April.

Wave start times will be either 6:30am or 7:00am and will be assigned based on your team's average pace. The start time(s) could be slightly adjusted based on this year's race entries.
