About Rattlesnake Master Run for the Prairie
The 27th annual Rattlesnake Master Run for the Prairie includes a 10K and 5K run and 5K walk that benefits Grand Prairie Friends, a non-profit land trust and conservation group in central Illinois. This race circles the beautiful 130-acre Meadowbrook Park and prairie in Urbana, Illinois and includes some trail running. It offers a low entry fee, race medals, optional t-shirts, music, and friendly volunteers.
If you can't attend the race in person, support Grand Prairie Friends and participate in our virtual races. Run the distance you want, where and when you want and report your time by Nov 2 on RunSignUp. Virtual race times will be posted but not considered for medals.

10K Run:

- No dogs, strollers, or hiking poles
- No refunds. This is a "RAIN OR SHINE" race.
- Applicable state and local COVID guidelines will apply

Packet Pickup: Race packets available noon-4pm on Saturday, Nov 1 at Body n' Sole, 1317 Dunlap, Savoy, IL (217-356-8926).
Packets also available on race day from 8-8:45am at the Garden Pavilion in Meadowbrook Park near the Race Street Parking Lot.
Race start: 9am. Don't forget the time change!
Parking
ALERT: The grass lot on the southwest corner of Race and Wright St. has considerably less parking available this year.

- SW corner of Race and Windsor (limited space on grass)
- Vine St just north of the Meadowbrook Parking lot
The walk through the park from the Windsor Parking lot to the Garden Pavilion where Check-In occurs takes 10 minutes. Cross the bridge over the creek (west of the lot) and turn left then stay left at Wildflower Walk sign and you'll be there shortly. The dark green line on the map shows the path . You can also walk west on Windsor and south on Race to go directly to the Start spots.
You can save time by checking in at Body 'n Sole on Saturday from Noon-4pm. Then you can walk directly to the Start positions along Race St. as indicated on the map.
