Lace up your running shoes for the fourth annual Run for the Cookies 5K! This family-friendly event invites runners, walkers, and cookie lovers of all ages to enjoy a fun-filled race day packed with exciting activities, delicious treats, and unforgettable memories!

Is the Run for the Cookies 5K an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifier?
Yes! You can use your results from the Run for the Cookies 5K to qualify for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
If I participate in the Run for the Cookies 5K as a virtual runner, can I still use my results to qualify for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race?
No. The virtual results will not be accepted as a qualifier. Only in-person races on certified courses qualify for registration for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
Will participants receive a medal?
Yes! All in-person and virtual 5K participants will receive a special finisher medal featuring a Girl Scout Cookie-inspired design. It’s a sweet way to celebrate your big accomplishment!
Please note: Fun Run participants do not receive a medal.
When do I pick up my race number?
Early packet pickup is strongly encouraged! If you are unable to pick up your race packet on one of our early packet pickup dates, it will be available on the day of the race at check-in.
Race packets will be available for pickup before the race.

Is this a drop-off event?
This is not a drop-off event. All parents/guardians must be responsible for their children throughout the event. Please do not leave minors unattended.
Can I bring a poster and cheer for the runners?
Yes! Feel free to get creative, make some posters, and stand along the course or near the finish line to cheer on the runners! If your Girl Scout troop is not running in the race, you can still join us by creating posters and standing along the course to cheer for our runners!
Will the race be cancelled if it rains?
No, the race is a rain or shine event.
Who will receive awards?
Awards will be given to the top male, top female, and top non-binary runners in the following divisions:
9 years and under
10 - 14 years
15 - 19 years
20 - 24 years
25 - 29 years
30 - 34 years
35 - 39 years
40 - 44 years
45 - 49 years
50 - 54 years
55 - 59 years
60 - 64 years
65 - 69 years
70 years and older
The top overall male and top overall female runner will also receive a special award.
Where do I check my results?
Results will be posted online after the completion of the race. You can find your results by returning to this page after the race and keeping an eye on your email for an update from GSGATL.
Are dogs and strollers allowed on the course?
Strollers are allowed but all furry friends should be left at home. If you bring a stroller, please be courteous to other runners and allow people to pass.
What happens if my plans change and I can't attend the event anymore?
Race registrations are non-refundable, but if you can no longer attend the event and race in-person, we can transfer your registration to be a virtual registration. You can complete the race on your own schedule and you will have an opportunity to pick up your race t-shirt, patch, and box of Girl Scout Cookies. You could also transfer your registration to someone else who would like to attend and participate in the race in-person. Please contact us at annualfund@gsgatl.org if you need to make adjustments to your registration.
If the event is canceled for any reason, registration fees are non-refundable and will be converted to a donation to support local Girl Scouts.
Packet Pick Up
Early packet pickup is strongly encouraged! Race packets will be available for pickup before the race. Details about packet pickup dates and location coming soon!
If you are unable to pick up your race packet on one of our early packet pickup dates, it will be available on the day of the event at check-in. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time for packet pickup prior to the start of the race at 8:30 am. You don't want to be stuck in a packet pickup line as runners line up to start the race!
