The Run for the House is a family-friendly USATF-Certified competitive 5K and non-competitive 1 Miler. Registered participants receive a race shirt, medal, swag bag. After the run, join us at Sam Houston Park for the After Party. Take a selfie with Santa, create awesome crafts, play fun games, refuel with delicious food and drinks, and see if you won an award!

WHY WE RUN: To support families with children receiving care in the Medical Center for a serious illness or injury. We provide a home away from home for these families.

Join us to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston! Founded in 1978, the mission of RMHC Greater Houston is to offer a home away from home providing care, compassion, and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions. The House provides a place to find rest and respite, activities, meals, and snacks for our families, at no cost.
We serve children and families at four locations:

In addition to our Houses, RMHC Greater Houston also has a CareMobile that goes to local communities to provide immunizations and well checks for school aged children.

Thursday, December 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, December 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston, 1907 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030
PRE-RACE PPU IS DRIVE-THRU ONLY. NO GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE RMHC. PRE-RACE PPU WILL END AT 6:00 PM AND 3:00 PM SHARP.
