Run the Vineyards - Jonathan Edwards 5K

Run for Wine at one of New England's most scenic and popular wineries- Jonathan Edwards Winery!  

3rd Annual Run the Vineyards starts and finishes at this beautiful vineyard. This is a mostly paved race with a mile through the picturesque vineyard.  Finish with wine, live music, food truck, beautiful views, and memories to last a lifetime.  Fun for all ages and paces! Run the Vineyards races are unique, fun, and memorable traditions for families, friends, and running groups!  

The Run:

• Chip-timed 5K race with instant results. Race starts at 9 AM.

• Scenic course finishing through the vineyard,.

• Awards for Top 3 Overall and Age Group Male & Female Winners (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, every 10 yrs)

The Fun:

• Professionally managed 5K race and one-of-a-kind after-party

• All participants receive one complimentary glass of wine (21 and over)

• Post race Live Music 'til Noon by Bryan Titus

• Beer from Local Breweries also available for purchase

• Food Truck on site - Munchies Food Truck

• Run the Vineyards Stemless Wine Glass for all finishers

• High Quality Custom Tech Shirt included. Women's, Men's/unisex, and Youth sizes or upgrade to Women's Racerback Tank Top for $5 extra. Men's Tanks do not require an added fee. *Please register by May 17 to guarantee your first choice. Many extras ordered and available while supplies last after May 17.

• Souvenir Finisher Medal optional for $8 online or $10 race day

• Free Downloadable Race Photos. Professional Photographer on staff. 

• Water Station on course, Water and Bananas at finish

• Walkers and children are welcome to participate.1 Hour time limit kindly requested. Need to be registered and start on time at 9 AM behind the runners for safety of all participants. 

• Rain or Shine. No refunds or deferrals.

• Packet Pick-up on Race Day @ 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM at "Good Day for a Run" tent. Arrive by 8:30 AM to check-in please.

Please read through the following to ensure a fun and relaxing race day experience.

• Race Date/Time: June 1st at 9am
• Location: Jonathan Edwards Winery located at 74 Chester Main Rd., N Stonington, CT 06359
• Check-In/Packet Pick Up Options:
  • Saturday (May 31st) from Noon-2pm at Kelley's Pace Running Store located in Old Mystic Village - 27 Coogan Blvd. Mystic, CT (You may pick up for others. Kelly's Pace will be offering various specials for the runners picking up!)
  • Sunday (6/1) from 7:30-8:30am at Jonathan Edwards Winery
    • NOTE: PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY (NO LATER THAN 8:15AM) TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE PARKED AND CHECKED IN ON TIME.  LATE ARRIVALS MAY NOT BE PERMITTED TO RUN or WALK. Walkers start on time at 9AM behind the pack of runners. 
• Bag Check: Bag Check is offered at the Check-In tent on race morning. Items must be picked up by 11am. 
• Results: All results are live on this site at the Results Link. Also, you can scan the QR Code located near the Finish Line.  
• Awards: The top 3 Overall Winners will be awarded a medal and bottle of wine. The top 3 in age groups will win a medal. (under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc.) Awards will be presented at about 10-10:10am at the live musician location.

• Parking: Parking is on-site. Please carpool when possible and park tightly as directed.

• Photographs: Race day photos will be provided at no charge. We will post and email the link by Tuesday or Wednesday. Race day photos will be taken by Shutter in a Compass Photography.  
• Race is Rain or Shine
• Jogging Strollers are permitted - Please note that approx. 1 mile of race is on short cut grass. Strollers should start near back of pack please. Toddler in stroller doesn't need to be registered. 
• Dogs are not permitted.
• No Refunds or Transfers. 
• Parents/Guardians must register their children online if they are participating with the parent. Wine tickets used by adult over 21.
