SBI Three Bridge Tour

Tucked in the southeast corner of the state between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC you find the South Brunswick Islands.

The South Brunswick Islands feature meandering waterways, miles of idyllic shoreline, an abundance of championship golf courses and a temperate climate. These features make our home a scenic paradise; an ideal retirement location and destination for relaxation.

Our area beaches - Holden, Ocean Isle Beach, and Sunset Beach - have all been recognized as some of the best beaches in the nation.  We invite you to come experience the natural beauty and laid back lifestyle of the home so many of us have come to love.

The South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club's "SBI Three Bridge Tour" offers you a unique opportunity to traverse our county and cruise across the three featured bridges of Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, and Holden Beach. Select a ride that is family friendly or one that will challenge you; each promises to be memorable.

Proceeds from this event will be used to for local and international Rotary project with many projects providing experiences and learning opportunities that will enrich the lives of the children and youth in Brunswick County.

All riders will meet in the staging area at the Ocean Isle Beach Park.  The address is below on Old Georgetown Rd

The ride will take place in the rain, but lightning or a forecast for lightning or other dangerous weather will cancel the ride.  The registration fee is NOT refundable if the ride is canceled due to safety reasons

SARAH'S KITCHEN

Located at the Start/Finish line location.  Arrive early and enjoy breakfast at OIB/Sunset Beach best breakfast and lunch      location.  You can dine in and enjoy the views or call ahead and pick up a to-go plate and eat down near the event registration    area.  Sarah's Kitchen does have limited seating, so to go plates may be the best option unless you beat the crowd.  

 Sarah's Kitchen will also be preparing the lunch that will be provided to all registered riders after they complete their route.     Sarah's Kitchen is also a MAJOR sponsor of our event, so please thank them for their contributions.

TRAVELIN' TOM'S COFFEE

A good coffee before a long day of riding is a must.  No reason to be in a rush.  Get to the event registration early enough to relax and enjoy some coffee before your ride.  Travelin' Tom's Coffee will be set up near the Event Registration area and you will be able to enjoy a nice cup before or after you check into the event.

A Brunswick County favorite!  Blondiez Donuts is a must visit if you have never experienced one.  If you need something quick and on the go or a little lighter than a full breakfast then we added Blondiez Doughnuts for the perfect option.  Stop by and load up before starting our event.

SUNSET SLUSH

When the ride is over and you have finished your event provided lunch from Sarah's kitchen.  We invite you to stop by and enjoy another Brunswick County Favorite.  Sunset Slush.  If you have ever been to a beach in Brunswick County, you have seen a Sunset Slush cart going up and down the beach.  Today, we bring the slush to you!  Enjoy.

HERO'S CORNER

Master Trooper Kevin Keith Conner was killed in the line of duty on October 17th, 2018. Born in Bladenboro, NC. Kevin’s life-long dream was to be a state trooper, a dream that came true in 2007. He was assigned to Troop B in Columbus County where he made his home with his wife, Miranda, and his two children, Briley and Braxson. Kevin was a humanitarian and public servant, both on and off the job. He was a wonderful friend to many, and a light to anyone who made his acquaintance.

PACKET PICKUP

FRIDAY, November 7th, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

SATURDAY, November 8th, 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM

NOTE: Please enter this address into your GPS.  

CHECK IN

All riders are required to check in at Packet Pickup.  Riders will be given a rider number and are asked to attach that to the front of their bike (we will provide twist ties to use).  Your rider number helps race organizers track riders and ensure everyone makes it back safely.  

NOTE: If you checked-in during the Friday packet pickup, you do not need to check in with us Saturday morning.

RACE JOY TRACKING

Please consider downloading the RaceJoy app.  This app allows LIVE tracking based on your rider number, and further enhances the safety of the race.  It also allows your friends and family to track you while you ride! 

PARKING

Parking opens at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning

Arrive early and carpool when possible as the parking lot will be crowded.

EVENT START TIME

1, 2 and 3 Bridge routes will begin at 9:05 AM

Lil Kids Ride will begin at 9:15 AM

JERSEYS AND EVENT MERCHANDISE

Can be picked up at Packet Pickup.  If you pre-ordered your apparel, it will be waiting for you at the Packet Pickup area when you check in.  If you would like to purchase apparel, we will have limited quantities for sale at the event.

ROUTES

All routes can be viewed HERE .  It is STRONGLY suggested that you download the route to your phone or bike computer.  Routes will be well marked, but wind, rain, etc can affect route markings.  

1 Bridge Riders will follow the GREEN route.
2 Bridge Riders will follow the BLUE route.
3 Bridge Riders will follow the YELLOW route.
