Sweet & Sour 5K/10K/15K

Get ready for a flavor-packed running adventure at the Sweet & Sour 5K/10K/15K in Sugar Hill, where every distance comes with its own delicious reward! Whether you’re craving a little sugar, a little tang, or the full sweet-and-sour experience, this race lets you pick your perfect blend.

Choose the Sweet 5K and cap off your run with a delightful sweet treat waiting at the finish line. Prefer something with a little bite? Take on the Sour 10K and enjoy a refreshing sour drink or beer when you cross the finish. And for those who want it all, challenge yourself with the full 15K, completing both the 5K and the 10K to earn both a sweet treat and a sour drink.

All participants will receive a custom finisher medal, and we’ll present awards for each distance in the usual five-year age groups, giving runners of all ages and paces the chance to shine.

No matter which route you choose, you’ll enjoy great miles, tasty rewards, and a fun twist on race-day tradition. Taste the fun—one stride at a time!

We always do packet pickup on race morning starting one hour prior to the start of the race.  If we have an early pickup available, it will be added here.

The Charity Partner for Sweet & Sour 5K/10K/15K is Georgia Alliance Against Breast Cancer.

Their mission is to engage with Georgia’s breast cancer community to increase access to care and reduce disparities in cancer outcomes.

In addition to earning a free race, volunteering for this race can earn you a $50 Visa Gift Card.

We'll be chip timing from start & finish (for all 3 races) so you're guaranteed a great net time.

Everyone runs the same course down Peachtree Industrial Blvd, through E.E. Robinson, and back.  Note that there will be different turnaround points for the 5K & 10K.

Water Stations

We will have Self-Serve water stations approximately every 1.5 miles. If you are wanting to run fast and not stop, you might want to bring your own personal hydration.

Pacing

The longest distance will need to keep a 16 min/mile pace to finish before the course closes.

• Top 3 Overall Grand Master (50+) 
• Top 3 Overall Sr. Master (60+)
• Top 3 in each age group (10 & under - 80+)

This is one of the first opportunities for the Top Finishers to qualify for the Championships to be held in January 2027!  The number of spots available is based on the total registration.  See event website

Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be Immediately disqualified asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.  Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.  Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.  No COVID-19 Refunds.  If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided.  The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
