About Sylvan Beach Tri/Du
Join us on the beach for Race #2 of the 2026 Bayou City Tri Series! We’ve got all Multisport athletes covered with Sprint and Olympic distance triathlon races, as well as a Duathlon for those not wanting to jump in the water.
Bring your friends and enter as a relay team.
Age group awards for all races, and a team competition for fastest team and largest team.
Awards
Sprint and Olympic distance races will have Top Overall Male and Female, Top Masters Male and Female, as well as Top3 in 5 year age groups for each gender.
The Duathlon will have Top Overall Male and Female, and Top 3 in 10-year age groups for each gender.
Clydesdale and Athena will be offered in both triathlon distances, Top 3 by gender, and Relay awards will go to the Top 3 teams regardless of gender. Team awards for fastest team (scoring will be posted soon) and Largest team will also be given.

6:10 a.m. - Warm Up Swim Opens
6:30 a.m. - Transition Closes
6:30 a.m. - Swim Warm Up Closes
6:35 a.m. - Racers to Starting Line for Announcements & Anthem
6:55 a.m. - Olympic PC Triathlon Starts
7:00 a.m – Olympic Triathlon Rolling Start
7:20 a.m – Sprint PC Triathlon Starts
7:25 a.m - Sprint Triathlon Rolling Start
7:30 a.m – Duathlon Starts
8:00 a.m – Swim Finish Cutoff
8:10 am - Bike out cutoff
9:07 - Bike Lap 2 cutoff
9:15 a.m – Awards Ceremony Starts

Team Challenges
We will have special awards for the team with the most participants, the fastest team, and of course, the SPEEDO CHALLENGE!
Top Team (Participation) award is given to the team with the most registered participants. This team will receive a special trophy, and a combination of free entries to next years Sylvan Beach race and other races, and gift cards.
Fastest team will be determined by the lowest combined time from that team’s top male and female Oly racers, top male and female Sprint, and top Duathlete (either gender). They will receive a special trophy, and free entries to next year’s race and other BCTS races, along with gift cards and/or other swag. And bragging rights until 2024!
