The Innsbrook Half & 10k returns for 2026. Run on one of the most scenic, beautiful and challenging courses in the Midwest during the peak of fall color in Missouri! Hosted by Big River Race Management at the beautiful Innsbrook Resort. Located just one hour from St. Louis, runners and walkers will be treated to 13.1 or 6.2 miles on a mix of pavement and smooth gravel roads. A certified course, custom finisher medal, premium long-sleeved giveaway, a catered to-go lunch, live music and cold beer wait at the finish - you are not going to want to miss this event! FAQ's

 

Q: Where can I stay at Innsbrook/nearby?
A: View our Make it a Weekend page for all details on places to stay or check out Innsbrook Vacations for Innbrook rental properties. There are also lots of options on AirBNB, VRBO, etc. to rent homes and condos on the property. There are also a number of campgrounds within a short drive of Innsbrook with RV hookups and tent sites. Remember, Innsbrook is only a 1 hour drive from the St. Louis Metro. Most will just drive in race morning. 

Q: What else is there to do in the area?

Q: What will on-course support be like?
A: We will provide water stations on course, to see where they are located check out our Course Map. We ask that runners come prepared with energy gels, chews, or electrolytes need before, during, or post event.

Q: Can I get my bib/jacket mailed to me?
A: Yes, when you register you will have an option to add shipping of your bib and jacket. There will be a $15 shipping fee for this add on. You must register before October 12th to add this service as we will need a couple weeks to process and ship prior to event day.

Q: What can I expect at the finish line?
A: The finish line will be broken down into two chutes, when you cross the finish you can collect your custom finisher medal and a bottle of water. Upon exiting the finish line, pick-up your lunch before heading over to the amphitheater to catch the live band!

Q: What do I receive with my registration? 
A: With your registration you will receive an official Innsbrook custom half zip top, digital finisher’s certificate, Innsbrook half bib number, commemorative finisher’s medal (with built in bottle opener), access to the post race finish festival with live music and food/beer*, free parking at Charrette Creek Commons*, free finish line photos*, age group awards three deep*.

Q: Will the race be timed?
A: Yes this race will be a ChronoTrack chip timed event. All results and age group awards will be based on chip times. Overall winners will be decided by gun time. 

Q: Is the course certified?
A: Yes, this is a certified half marathon and 10k course.

Q: Is there a time limit?
A: Yes, we have a time limit of four hours from the start of the last wave, or roughly 18:30 min/mile.

Q: Where do I park?
A: Excellent question! There's a big lot directly south of the Charrette Creek Commons that you can access via Arlberg Pass. Check out our parking map here.

If you plan to access the Commons from within Innsbrook, please be advised Arlberg Pass will be closed from 8:50 AM to 9:15 AM. If you try to access the Commons during this time you will need to leave Innsbrook and re-enter at the Arlberg Entrance.

ABOUT THE RACE

Run on one of the most scenic and beautiful courses in the Midwest, during the peak of fall color in Missouri! Hosted by Big River Race Management at the beautiful Innsbrook Resort, just one hour from St. Louis, runners and walkers will be treated to 13.1 OR 6.2 miles on a single loop course with a mix of pavement and smooth gravel roads (think Katy Trail). Cross five dams with scenic views while running past some of the 100+ lakes found on the Innsbrook grounds. But don't let the beauty of this course fool you, it's going to be tough! Innsbrook is hilly, and this course has more than its fair share. A certified course, custom finisher medal with built in bottle opener, long sleeve custom half zip, a catered to-go lunch, post-race entertainment and cold beer at the finish all mean you are not going to want to miss this event. The Innsbrook Half Marathon will be capped at 500 runners, ensuring small start waves and ideal (low) course density. The event will start and finish at the Charrette Creek Commons (pictured below) part of the Innsbrook Resort. Check out the course video!

START PROCEDURE (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

To ensure the safety of all participants of the Innsbrook Half Marathon and ensure everyone has plenty of space on-course, waves of 100-120 participants will leave the start line every 90 seconds. When registering, participants will submit an estimated finish time which will be used to place wave assignments with the fastest corrals going first and moving backward from there. 

The race will leave Charrette Creek Commons at 9:00 AM

BAG DROP/GEAR CHECK

Due to the close proximity of parking, we will not have a bag drop. Any belongings can be stored in your car before, during, and after your race. 

Race Policies

REGISTRATION AND SWAG POLICIES


PARTICIPANT AGE POLICY:


All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign their waiver. The minimum age for Race participants is 10 years old on race day.

 

REFUND POLICY:


All registration fees and add-on payments are final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances including cancellation, postponement, or alteration. The only instance where refunds would be offered is in the case the event is cancelled due to local health officials ruling the event cannot be safely held due to COVID-19. 

 

EVENT TO EVENT TRANSFER POLICY:


Participants may transfer between the In-Person Event and the Virtual Event or vice versa ($0 transfer fee) up until 5:00 PM CST the day before the first scheduled packet pickup date. After this transfer deadline, no transfers will be allowed. If choosing to transfer to a more expensive event, participants will pay any difference in registration costs between events at the time of the transfer including any data or credit card processing fees. If choosing to transfer to a less expensive event, refunds will not be issued. Virtual participants can only transfer to the in-person event if it is not sold-out. 

 

PARTICIPANT TO PARTICIPANT TRANSFER POLICY:


Race bibs and registrations can be transferred to another person, but do so through the Run Sign Up platform to ensure race officials are properly notified. Failure to comply will result in disqualification from the current Race and a ban from the Race for the following year.

 

EVENT CANCELLATION AND ALTERATION POLICY:


Big River Race Management reserves the right to alter or cancel the Race’s Events for reasons related to extreme weather (including, but not limited to, heat, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, storms, lightning and floods), accidents, acts of war or terrorism, coronavirus (COVID-19), pandemic or other public health emergency, military conflicts, riots or protests or for any reason that, in Big River Race Managements’ discretion, will protect the safety and security of Event participants and spectators. In the event of such alteration or cancellation, there will be no refund of registration fees unless cancellation is due to COVID-19.

Big River Race Management reserves the right to alter the Race’s Events or related packet pickups. Alterations to the Event may include but are not limited to Event location, date (postpone), time, distance, route, surface, participant materials or Event format (including Virtual Event, In-Person Event or In-person Socially Distant Event formats), or packet pickup location, date, time or format. In the event of Event or packet pickup alteration, refunds will not be issued

 

WEATHER OR OTHER DANGEROUS CONDITION EVENT CANCELLATION AND ALTERATION POLICY:


In the event that the In-Person Event is cancelled due to weather or other dangerous condition, Big River Race Management reserves the right to alter the In-Person Event to be a Virtual Event and transfer all In-Person Event participants into the Virtual Event. In the event that the In-Person Event is altered to be a Virtual Event, refunds will not be issued. Participants will receive participant materials for the current year’s Virtual Event including any optionally selected paid add-ons which will be shipped to them. The Virtual Event Waiver and Virtual Event Policies will apply to the Virtual Event.

 

CORONAVIRUS EVENT CANCELLATION AND ALTERATION POLICY:


In the event that the In-Person Event is cancelled due to Coronavirus, Big River Race Management reserves the right to offer participants the choice between the three options listed below:

1. Defer your registration to the 2024 Innsbrook Half Marathon in-person event. You may defer your 2023 in-person registration to the 2024 in-person event prior to the decision deadline announced upon cancellation. 
2. Transfer your registration to the 2023 Innsbrook Half Marathon virtual event. If you do not defer your registration to the 2023 in-person event, your registration will be automatically transferred to the virtual event. Your race SWAG will be mailed to you and you will receive a refund for the difference in your registration prices. If you choose not to run the in-person event despite there being no cancelation, you may transfer to the virtual event at any time before 5:00 pm the day before the first scheduled packet pickup.
3. Receive a refund for 100% of your registration fees. This does not include your processing fees.

 

PARTICIPANT MATERIALS POLICIES (FOR IN-PERSON EVENTS)

 

PARTICIPANT MATERIALS FULFILLMENT POLICY:


Participant materials include race bib, giveaway item, and any complimentary or paid add-on or merchandise optionally selected during registration. Participants should plan to attend regularly scheduled packet pickup dates in order to pick up their participant materials. Participant materials will not be shipped prior to Event date unless the "Mail my packet" option was paid for during registration. After Event day, participant materials can be mailed upon request, but participants must cover the cost of shipping. Sizing is not guaranteed after regularly scheduled packet pickup dates. Participant material requests must be made within 4 weeks following the Event.

 

SHIRT EXCHANGE POLICY:


Participant shirt exchange, if made available, will be on Event day at the finish line or post-party. After Event day, participant shirts can be exchanged upon request, but participants must cover the cost of shipping. Sizing is not guaranteed after regularly scheduled packet pickup dates. Shirt exchange requests must be made within 4 weeks following the Event.

 

AWARDS POLICY:


We do plan to have an in-person awards ceremony. All awards will be available for pick-up at the awards ceremony. If you are unable to stay for the awards ceremony, you are welcome to request that your award be shipped to you (at your cost) the Monday following the event. We are also happy to drop your award at any of the three Big River Running Company locations for you for pick-up.   

 

PARTICIPANT MATERIALS POLICIES (FOR VIRTUAL EVENTS)

 

PARTICIPANT MATERIALS FULFILLMENT POLICY:


All Virtual Event participants can choose to pick up their participant materials at the regularly scheduled packet pickup dates or have their participant materials shipped for no charge. Participant materials will be shipped at no charge if not picked up at the regularly scheduled packet pickups dates. All participant materials will ship as soon as possible following the end of the Virtual Event window. Participant materials include race bib, giveaway item, and any complimentary or paid add-ons optionally selected during registration. 

 

PARTICIPANT SHIRT EXCHANGE POLICY:


Shirt exchanges for Virtual Event participants are not guaranteed and are dependent upon sizing. Participant shirts can be exchanged upon request, but participants must cover the cost of shipping. Shirt exchange requests must be made within 4 weeks of the end of the Virtual Event window.

 

AWARDS POLICY:


There are no awards for Virtual Event divisions or categories.
