About Treasure Coast Endurance Challenge
Join us on November 7th, 2026, for the best endurance challenge in Southeast Florida! The Treasure Coast Endurance Challenge will take you through the stunning trails and waterways of Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Participants can choose between a 3-hour or 6-hour adventure race, and for those endurance runners, we will also be hosting a 5K and 25K creating a dynamic mix of competitors and a fun endurance athlete atmosphere.
The 3-hour race is perfect for newcomers to adventure racing, families, or those looking for a shorter, more relaxed experience. The 6-hour race offers a longer and more competitive challenge, emphasizing navigation skills and endurance. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or new to the sport, this event promises an unforgettable adventure in a beautiful environment!
3-Hour Adventure Race (Run/Bike/Paddle) - New This year kids 15 and under race for $40
Race Distance: 10-18 Miles
Categories: Solo, Two-Person, Three-Person, and Four-Person Teams
Description: Teams of 1-4 will traverse land, water, and swamp in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, covering approximately 10-18 miles. Racers will use pre-plotted CalTopo maps to navigate to checkpoints while paddling, cycling, and trekking throughout the entire park. The checkpoints for the 3 Hour race will be more easily located than that of the 6 hour race as this is intended to be more beginner friendly. Checkpoints will be located at various natural landmarks, such as trail intersections, canals, bays, and wetlands, as detailed on the clue sheet. The race may feature single-track mountain biking trails, dirt or gravel roads, some paved roads, and flat-water kayaking/canoeing.

6-Hour Adventure Race (Run/Bike/Paddle)

Race Rules:
1. You must render aid to any racer in need of medical attention. Time credits will be awarded to compensate for time lost while assisting. Penalty – Disqualified
2. No dragging the boats. You are financially responsible for any damage if it’s yours or if it’s rented. Penalty – 1 hour-disqualified
3. Bike riding must be done on the designated course. Off Limits roads/highways will be briefed prior to the race. Penalty – 1 hour-disqualified
4. Your team must remain together at all times. You will not know which points are manned. If you arrive at a manned checkpoint without your team, you will be asked to wait at the checkpoint until the remainder of your team arrives. Penalty– ½ hour-disqualified
5. Use of whistles is to signal if you need assistance only! (For emergencies only). Penalty – warning- ½ hour
6. You must recycle any trash that you produce during the race, absolutely no littering! Penalty– ½ hour-disqualified.
7. Cell phones are FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY!
8. Assisting other teams is authorized on any portion of the race.
9. You must carry all mandatory items as well as items given to you during the race. Penalty – ½ hour each item
10. You must wear PFD while Paddling at all times. Penalty – 1 hour-disqualified
11. You must wear your Bike Helmet while Biking. Penalty – 1 hour-disqualified
12. NO GPS or electronic assistance. Penalty – Disqualification
13. All protests should be brought to the race director’s table. Race director’s decision is final.
14. All elements of the race are MANDATORY, (i.e. Boat Paddle, Bike, Trek) unless specified by Race Director! Penalty - Loss of gained points – disqualified
15. There will be a 1 check point penalty per 15 minutes after the race cutoff time.
Gear:
This is a self-supported race so all required equipment and food will need to be carried by each racer throughout the day. There will be water at one Transition Area (TA) (bikes, boats, and associated equipment will be pre-staged).

Navigation:
The maps given at check in are all that are needed to run the race. These maps contain topographic lines, manmade features, and trails. Other maps of the area can be used during the race. No GPS use is allowed.
