About Tri @ The Y
The Try @ The Y Indoor Challenge is a fun, inclusive indoor triathlon-style event designed for all fitness levels, from first-timers to experienced athletes. Participants rotate through three back-to-back 15-minute segments—swimming in the pool, cycling on an indoor stationary bike, and running or walking on a treadmill—for a total of 45 minutes of activity. Each participant is assigned a specific start time and completes all three phases consecutively, with distances from each segment added together to determine a final score. Results are divided by age group and by gender. This weather-proof, beginner-friendly event offers a supportive, community-focused atmosphere and a great introduction to multi-sport fitness. Participants must arrive on time for their assigned start slot, as late arrivals will not be able to participate due to the rotating format.
