Course Maps

Change for this year is new transition area. You will head out onto Veteran's Blvd on Ham Street by the fire station. The rest of the course is the same.
Tupelo Sprint Run Course 2023 (2 loops)
You will leave transition and back to the old run course on the running trail. This year, you will make 2 loops on the trail. After your second loop, take a right to the finish line!

FAQ
1. Do I have to wear a helmet? Yes. You will not be allowed to compete without a helmet. Please see rules on the left.
2. Do I have to wear a swimcap? No. Swim caps are optional at this race. Please bring your own.
3. Will there be any aide stations? There will be 1 water stop halfway through the run. Please put a water bottle on your bike.
4. Will there be SAG vehicles? There will be a vehicle following the last cyclist.
5. What if I need to withdraw from the race while it is going on? Notify the race director (Jake or Aaron) immediately and turn in your chip.
6. Will the race be chip timed? Yes.
7. How do we start? Time trial start with one triathlete leaving "in water" every 10 seconds. You will be lined up according to your estimated swim time.
8. What happens if I am not an annual USAT member? You pay and sign a one-day license. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
9. Does every member of a relay have to be a USAT member? Yes.
10. Will the roads be completely closed to traffic? No.
11. Are headphones allowed? No.
12. Can friends and family cheer me along the race? YES!!! bring them all!
13. Can I hold onto a lane rope or edge of the pool while I am swimming? Yes. As long as it does not give you forward progress, it is legal and you will not be disqualified
14. Can I pee in the pool? No.
15. Will I be required to pay to enter the aquatic center on race day? No, but your friends and family that come to watch you in the water will have to pay. (Aquatic center rules)
16. Do we dive from the starting block? No. You will start off the wall in the water
17. Is there a t-shirt/jacket deadline? YES. Anybody registering after April 6th is NOT guaranteed a tshirt/jacket. We will have SOME extra's that will be available on first come first serve basis.

5-7 PM: Packet Pickup at Trails and Treads

Saturday April 26
5:45 AM - transition opens
6:15 AM - packet pickup, body marking, and chip handout begins
7:00-7:15 AM - Pool open for warmups and/or bathroom (there are other bathrooms close by)
7:20 AM - everyone out of pool for pre-race meeting on pool deck (line up in numerical order)
7:30 AM - Race start
9:30ish - Awards ceremony at race site
Transition Layout
This year, one big change is moving the transition area to the East side of the Aquatic Center. This is by the JT Neely building. This will greatly enhance the finish line experience as well.
