About Walking Miles for Smiles; In memory of Randy Long!
This race is a fundraiser for Head and Neck Cancer. We will donate all the proceeds to the SPOHNC Foundation. My dad was a member of this foundation throughout his cancer battle. Unfortunately, Head and Neck cancer took my dad from us too early. I think this race will be a great way to honor him, and help future people fight this terrible disease!

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you on behalf of [Randy Long, and other
individuals affected by Head and Neck Cancer] to seek your support for our [Walking Miles for
Smiles 5K fundraiser], which will be held on April 13, 2025 at Washington Park in Avon, Indiana.
I’m creating this 5K in memory of my dad, Randy Long, who passed away from Head and Neck
Cancer on August 3, 2022. My goal is to donate all the proceeds from this race to the SPOHNC
Indiana chapter, which my dad belonged to as well. This group is a support group for those
affected by Head and Neck, and was very important to my dad while he battled that awful
disease! This year, we are organizing [Walking Miles for Smiles 5K] with the goal of donating all
the proceeds from this race to the SPOHNC Indiana chapter, which my dad belonged to as well.
This group is a support group for those affected by Head and Neck, and was very important to

opportunities for people that have been affected by Head and Neck Cancer.
