WINDERMERE ANNOUNCES RMHC AS 2023 BENEFICIARY
Do you love running and have a passion for helping the Spokane Community?! The Windermere Foundation is excited to announce Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest as the official beneficiary of 2023 race. Help us in supporting the great mission of RMHC INW this year! Every runner has an opportunity to support this cause by either making a donation or registering as a fundraiser. Runners are encouraged to sign-up as a fundraising runner and earn great prizes as they run toward their fundraising finish line!

What Is Ronald McDonald House Charities
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest (RMHC INW) provides temporary lodging, social and emotional support, at no charge, for families of children accessing medical services.
Sometimes, we all just need a little help. This is especially true for the families across 15 counties in Washington and Idaho that come to stay with us at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest. Of the families we serve, 60% have less than 24-hour notice, or travel over 124 miles, with an average length of stay of 28 days.
What Is The Windermere Foundation
Giving back has always been a big part of who the Windermere Foundation is. In the early days of Windermere, it was pretty simple; see a need and help in any way possible. As the company grew, they established a common purpose in order to do more good in one area. That’s how the Windermere Foundation was born. Housing is their business, so helping homeless families seemed like a natural fit. Later the focus expanded to include low-income families, with an emphasis on helping children. For the past 30 years a portion of every Windermere agent’s commission has been donated to the Windermere Foundation. Having 100% participation gives them a common purpose and sends a powerful message about commitment to the community. Last year alone they provided funding to hundreds of organizations throughout the Western U.S., including homeless shelters, food banks, schools, hospitals, community centers, and more. For the past 30 years, these are the types of needs the Windermere Foundation has helped meet thanks to the collective generosity of our agents and the community.

Refunds, Transfers, and Deferrals:
Distance Transfers:
A participant may transfer their registration to another distance that is not full within the same race at any time before the end of packet pick-up (i.e. 5k to 10k). If there is a price difference between the distances, the participant is responsible for the increased cost of the new registration compared to the previous amount paid for their registration. The race will not issue a full or partial refund if the participant is stepping down in registration cost (i.e. half marathon to 5k). All distance transfers can be completed from the online registration page under your profile.
------------------------------------------------------------
Live and Virtual Transfers:
All live races will also have a virtual race option for participants choosing to participate virtually for any reason. Participants may transfer between live and virtual events if they are not full at any time before the end of packet pick-up. If there is a price difference between the virtual and live race, the participant is responsible for the increased cost of the live race compared to the previous amount paid for the registration. The race will not issue a full or partial refund if the participant already paid a higher registration fee and is stepping down in price. All event type transfers can be completed from the online registration page under your profile.
------------------------------------------------------------
Person to Person Transfers:
Person to person transfers will be allowed at any time before the end of packet pick-up for a $10 fee. Person to person transfers are limited to the swag available at the time of the transfer. Shirt sizes are subject to quantities on hand at the time of the transfer. A person to person transfer can be completed from the online registration page under your profile.
------------------------------------------------------------
Race to Race Transfers:
Participants will be able to transfer their registration to another Negative Split produced event that is not full for a $30 fee plus any price changes to the new event. Race to race transfers are only allowed once per registration and must be used less than 365 days from the original race date. Race to race transfers are limited to the swag available at the time of the transfer. Shirt sizes are subject to quantities on hand at the time of the transfer. If there is a price difference between the two races, the participant is responsible for the increased cost of the new registration compared to the previous amount paid for the registration. The race will not issue a full or partial refund if the participant already paid a higher registration fee and is stepping down in price.
------------------------------------------------------------
Deferrals:
Deferrals to the following year are not allowed. Participants are encouraged to either participate in a different distance, virtually, or in a different race.
------------------------------------------------------------
Refunds:
Due to the long-term nature of planning for events and the many pre-sunk costs upfront for the race organization, refunds will not be allowed.
