Wipe Out Colorectal Cancer 5k Run/Walk - presented by Rowan Diagnostic Clinic - Salisbury, NC

All proceeds from this event will go towards helping to fund free colonoscopies to those in need within Rowan County.  Rowan Diagnostic Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic that includes primary care, gastroenterology, allergy, rheumatology, pulmonology, and sleep medicine.  Our Diagnostic Health Associates office has partnered with the Checkit4Andretti Foundation to provide free colonoscopies through the Community Care Clinic of Rowan.

Please Join Us! - After the 5K run/walk at Overton, there will be a coffee truck and other food items at Rowan Diagnostic Clinic (611 Mocksville Avenue).  We will hold a Fun Run at RDC for kids ages 8 and under at approximately 10:30 a.m.  Race participants will receive their awards and shirts then as well as coffee, donuts, etc.  Anyone is welcome to join for

Race Location: 

• 5K: 9:00 a.m. - Overton Elementary - 1825 West Park Drive, Salisbury, NC  28144
• Fun Run: 10:30 a.m. -  611 Mocksville Avenue, Salisbury, NC  28144

Courses: 

• 5K:  See map below.  The course starts at Overton at approximately 1900 West Park Drive. The start is at the second driveway to the school, the one nearest the baseball field. Runners will go southwest on West Park to a turnaround which is at approximately 1635 West Park Rd, then runners will come back toward the school and then turn right at Hickory Drive, left on E. Park Road, right on W. Park Road, enter Greenway, along the Greenway to Prescott Drive, turn left on Prescott, turn right on Knollwood, turn left on Courtland Drive, turn left on Wake, turn right back onto Prescott. Proceed to end of Prescott, turn around at cul-de-sac and proceed back straight on Prescott and turn right on the Greenway back toward Overton.  Turn left on E. Park Road, left on Hickory Drive then continue straight across West Park to the finish line beside the nearest pole on the breezeway at Overton.  Dogs are not allowed on the course with participants.  Thank you for your cooperation. 
• Fun Run:  The fun run will be held at the block party after the race (611 Mocksville Avenue).

Start Times: 5K - 9:00 a.m. | Fun Run - 10:30 a.m.

Race Day Registration and Check-In:  8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. at Overton Elementary

Awards: Participants must complete race to receive an award - walkers are eligible for age group awards!
Top Three Overall—Male and Female in 5K (Overall winners not eligible for Age Group Awards & Awards will not be mailed)
Top Three in Each Age Group—Male and Female in 5K
Age Groups: 11 & Under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over

Quality shirts will be guaranteed for all preregistered runners and will be available to registrants on race day while supplies last.

Entry Fees:

• 5K:  $30 preregistration (by 3-20-26); $35 on race day
• Fun Run (8 & under):  Free!!
