4th of July 5K Blast

Join the local running community for a fast, fun morning under the shade of Floyd Lamb’s historic trees on Saturday, July 4, 2026.  Run or walk through the winding paths, pass the beautiful ponds, and say hello to the resident peacocks before your holiday barbecue begins.  The finish will include participant medals, misters, awards, water melon, water, snacks, and fun!

Volunteers

Volunteers are appreciated and receive a free entry to a future race or can give their free entry to a family member or friend on the day of the race they assist.  Sign up HERE to volunteer.

WHAT TIME DOES THE RUN START? The run starts at 7:00am PDT.

WHERE DO I PARK? There is plenty of parking available at Floyd Lamb State Park. 

ARE THERE AWARDS? Registered 5K participants will receive a finisher’s medal. There will be Overall Male and Female awards in addition to age group awards for the 5K. The top 3 in the following male and female age groups will receive an award: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES? Yes, headphones are allowed but not recommended for safety purposes.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED? Yes, leashed dogs are allowed on the run. We just ask that you start near the back so you don't interfere with the faster runners.

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED? Yes, you are welcome to bring a stroller on the run. We just ask that you start near the back so you don’t interfere with the faster runners.

IS THERE A GEAR CHECK? The race starts and ends near the parking area so we ask participants to keep their extra clothes in their vehicles.

CAN I WALK THE 5K? Yes, walkers are welcome!

IS THE RACE CHIP TIMED? Yes–you will have a disposable timing chip in the form of a sticker on the back of you race bib, please wear your bib on the front of your shirt/outer layer.

HOW MANY WATER STATIONS ARE THERE? There will be one water station for the 5K near mile 1.5.

WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS LOCATED? There are restrooms located behind registration/check-in.

WHEN AND WHERE IS PACKET PICK-UP? Packet Pickup: Friday, July 3, 2026 from 3pm-6pm at 24 Hour Fitness Summerlin, 2090 Village Center Circle.  Friends and family can pick up your packet for you!

CAN I PICK UP MY PACKET RACE MORNING? Yes, packet pickup will be available race morning beginning at 6:30am at Floyd Lamb Park under the picnic table canopies.

CAN I PICK UP A PACKET FOR SOMEONE ELSE? Yes, just give staff the full name of all registrants you are picking up for.

WHEN DOES REGISTRATION CLOSE? Online registration closes Friday, July 3 at noon. Registration will be available during packet pickup on Friday, July 3rd from 3pm – 6pm at 24 Hour Fitness Summerlin, 2090 Village Center Circle, and on and race morning beginning at 6:15am.

CAN I GET MY PACKET MAILED TO ME? Packets must be picked up in person and cannot be mailed before or after the race.

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION There are no refunds for this event. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to government restrictions or unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to “Acts of God".

Packet Pickup is on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 3pm-6pm at 24 Hour Fitness Summerlin, 2090 Village Center Circle.
Friends and family can pick up your packet for you!
