Join Us for the 5th Annual B the One Walk/Run

In recognition of World Mental Health Day (October 10), the 5th Annual B the One Walk/Run invites our community to come together in support of mental health awareness and suicide prevention. This meaningful event is more than just a race—it’s a movement to inspire hope and encourage others to “B THE ONE” for someone who may be struggling.

Proceeds will benefit iUnderstand Love Heals, a local nonprofit that provides compassionate support to individuals and families affected by suicide and mental health challenges.

Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, this event is for everyone—families, kids, strollers, and dogs included! Participants will receive a race bib, t-shirt, participation medal, and a goodie bag filled with fun and thoughtful items.

Early packet pick up:

You may choose to pick up your race bib, shirt, and swag bag early-

BIGGBY COFFEE – Plainfield Ave (4035 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids)

Please be aware there is road construction in this area & plan accordingly if you choose to pick up your packet early.

Packet pick up will take place the morning of the event, beginning at 10AM at the Grant Pavilion. Please plan to arrive no earlier than 10AM. From 10AM-11AM you will have the opportunity to pick-up your packets and check-out our local vendors under the pavilion.

-Participants will receive a medal in their swag bag!

-The top 3 male & female in each age group will receive an additional prize:

• 19 & Under
• 20 to 29
• 30 to 39
• 40 to 49
• 50 to 59
• 60 to 69 
• 70 & Over

Winners must be on-site directly following the event to claim their award.

(Participants who choose the virtual option are not eligible for awards.)

Cut off time for guaranteed t-shirt sizing is September 12th, 2025. For all participants that register after 9/12/25, t-shirts/t-shirt sizes are not guaranteed. A variety of sizes will be available first-come, first-serve, at packet pick up for late registrants. 

The course will be along the path at Millennium Park, beginning & ending at the Grant Pavilion: 1400 Maynard Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534
